SMB 3 - quick questions

I love video baseball games but don't have a ton of time. Would never be able to play a full season in the Show. In SMB 3 can you get through games fairly quickly?

Also, I am considering buying on switch or ps4 - obviously, the switch gives me the mobile advantage. Is there a reason to buy on ps4 and not the switch, being that I like the mobile?

just a quick side note. I love a sim but also like more of arcade action, which seems to be where SMB3 fits.

Yes, my games usually take under a half an hour., so it's much easier to play through a season than The Show. I think SMB3 is the perfect combo of sim and arcade.

I play on PC, so I can't speak on PS4 v. Switch.

You can also make the season shorter as well if you want if you don't want to play a full 162 game schedule.
