I don’t believe they ever said it needed or wanted to compete with PP. The other part of this is if they did, SMB4 and all their titles in English, I don’t believe there’s an updated American version of PP.

i believe this game will be released in jp market. It is an arcade baseball game but heavily focus on franchise mode.power pros is not focus on franchise mode but it still get better year after year.They are many pendant/ franchise fans in jp.
Well maybe it a good thing for power pros.konami can add some feature from smb4 like logo creator, fantasy draft... to pennant. And localize the game. If a game which has way less content like smb4 can make people pay 50~60$ then 60$ power pros with
(without) npb can easily make big profit for konami in the west.

Looks good but the main thing I was hoping they would add is co-op franchise (ie I could do a franchise with a few friends with each of us controlling our own team and the rest of the teams AI controlled).

Honestly does it matter? EA is not losing any sleep over if this game sells in Japan or not

Its a video games, if you like it buy it if not save the money.

I played SMB 2 to death….I did get 3 but never really dived in.

I will with SMB 4

The legends addition and draft shuffle is going to be awesome!!!!

At the risk of revealing my noobiness (look Ma, I made a word!), what is a "Shuffle Draft deckbuilding-inspired feature"? Is that a card mode like Diamond Dynasty in The Show or Perfect Team in OOTP?

Was really hoping community files (ability to share created teams) would be in, as customization and imagination is really the heart of this game, however that looks unlikely now.

Regarding the DLC stadiums, if I start my franchise release day, and the stadiums release afterwards does that mean I can't have the new stadiums in my already in progress franchise? Ultimately that would render new stadiums (that I really want & was hoping for more) useless bc I dig in deep into my franchise and don't really deviate outside of it.

Day 1 purchase. My only disappointment is no stadium builder. That would be the perfect feature for a game of this ilk.

While the lack of a stadium creator is a bummer. I am happy with what has been announced.

I am happy to be able to continue with my women's league which will expand from 14 teams to 20 (maybe even 24 with two teams sharing a park).

I'm still wondering if I can make franchise mode a single gender, as I stated before my league is all women (somewhat inspired by NCAA softball) and I'd like to have that feature in the franchise mode.

I just wish it was coming out this month so I can get my baseball fix in. I had to give up on The Show after a couple days.

Hmm, I'm getting the game, but $15 more for three new stadiums and three days early?

I'm still teaching during that time and don't know if I play then, but does anyone have a thought as to how much each stadium will cost as separate DLC, or if they'll be available as DLC at all?

EDIT: Nevermind, it is only $10 more. Hearing that the DLC for all three ballparks will also be $10, I pre-ordered the Ballpark Edition as well.

Ballpark edition preordered. No brainer for me. One of the few franchises that truly do plainly deserve my money unconditionally (until EA proves to screw it up)
