Well, any chance Alabama had at going to the tournament is completely gone. I have to feel bad for Davidson though, it looks like he's trying to hold back tears.

To the 2006-2007 Alabama Men's Basketball team and coaching staff:

I would like to thank you all for being the absolute worst team I have ever seen in my life. You don't hustle, give effort, or even give a flying rip about winning. You are the biggest joke of college basketball and don't deserve to step on the court. You all are a disgrace to the University of Alabama and you shouldn't even bother coming back to the campus. You all make me sick! To Mark Gottfried specifically: Please spare me your post-game, "We've got to get better", "become mentally and physically tougher" comments, and go jump off the nearest cliff or high rise structure. You should have to give back every penny you have taken from our University, because you sure haven't earned any of it. Congrats guys, this amazing run has finally come to an end. Maybe next year we can compete for 4th place in the SEC West.

*Note* This all comes from venting and I really don't hate our players like the above message might indicate. The Gottfried comments however, pretty much sum up my feelings towards him.

plenty of room left on the Bruce Pearl bandwagon. At least you know he can coach. And as for the game, I was hoping for a tie where they both got kicked out, but oh well.

It seems like every time Alabama has high expectations, they fall apart. They got up to #1 for a week four or five years ago and then went on to barely make the tournament. This year they go into the season with probably their highest expectations ever, and will be playing in the NIT, maybe. Gottfired (I can't be the first one to come up with that) needs to go, now.
