I have no idea when this happened (all the OT's are blending together) but I thought Adrian's 4th & 5th fouls were very iffy. Flynn iniated contact on pretty much all of his drives and Adrian went straight up on his 4th and even on his 5th (the And-1 by Harris). I still love the way Flynn attacks shot blockers. He takes it right to their chests and doesnt go up weak.

I don't see why he isn't projected higher on nba draft boards.

What a game! Props to both teams. Gotta love Flynn and Harris Cuse can go far in the NCAA tourny and may win the conf tourny. Wonder how much left in the tank to take on a tuff WV team.

Adrien actually didn't foul out, he only ended up with four. The final OT was like a high school game in terms of size, there was no one over 6'5 left on the court, lol.

Flynn's method of attacking is what they teach smaller players (go into people's chest) but I think a lot of those should have been no-calls but what can you do? The officiating wasn't lopsided.

Anyway, once Thabeet fouled out you know the game was over. It was like a free pass to the rim for Cuse's guards.

I personally think JC made a HUGE mistake not putting in Mandaldove at Center after Thabeet fouled out. Especially after Edwards fouled out. He is not the most quardinated center, but he is 7 foot and can block shots. Once we went small, Paul Harris was making Harrelson look stupid out there. If we could have just got foul #5 on Rautins, we would have won too. Man that dude can shoot the rock. I think its going to be WV and Nova in the finals.

I personally think JC made a HUGE mistake not putting in Mandaldove at Center after Thabeet fouled out. Especially after Edwards fouled out. Yeah but JC did it for match up purposes. Onuaku, Jackson and Ongenaut fouled out for Cuse so they had a very small line up on the court.

My only problem with JC last night was that it took until the 5th overtime for him to use a TO and draw up a set play for the final shot. And even the one time he did that we got an awful 3PT look from Walker (I think, it's all a blur, lol).

That game was ridiculous. I don't remember watching a better game. I wanted to go to bed so bad at the end of regulation, but I didn't want to miss the end of the game...who knew it was going to be almost 2 hours later

lol I still can't believe Harris got denied by the rim, got his own rebound then put down the and 1.

Had 'Cuse lost it there, that would have been epic!

Edit: I can see how Uconn finds don't find it funny. Had they won, guaranteed you would see a 'gif all over the place about it.

Ah, you're right. I didn't like the way JC kept taking out Stanley Robinson and inserting Austrie. Besides the 1 three Austrie hit he was TERRIBLE. Offensively he was bricking shots and his defense on the pick & roll was terrible. He kept jumping the screen and giving Flynn a straight path towards the hoop. Stanley was knocking down J's and crashing the boards hard. He must have been really cramping.

Stanley was knocking down J's and crashing the boards hard. He must have been really cramping.

I did not like that move either, Sticks shoulda stayed in there. Austrie gives us a third ball handler but he has been horrible this year. I mean, he is what he is (a mid-level A-10 recruit) but he has been useless this year. He can't shoot worth a lick and isn't athletic enough to make up for his lack of shooting ability. That is why Dyson's loss kills us, at least Austrie gave us some production last year during Dyson's suspension.

I have really tried to stay patient with Austrie cause has helped us win some big games in the past, but my God he has been HORRIBLE this year. At this point, I would rather see Harrelson in there for him. At least he can hit a 3 (lately). Austire doesn't play good D, so Harrelson would be equal to or better in that department. Sticks was the sticks I have been calling for all year. Instead of settling for early jumpers, he took the ball to the rim. That gave him some confidence and he started knocking down jumpers. Its time for Stanley to be the #14 recruit he was marked as. We are going to need him in the NCAA. I wish we had one more 3pt shooter to go with price. If we had 2 consistent guys making 3's, that would open up Thabeet and Adrien more for paint baskets. I can only imagine where we would be right now on these 3 if's:

1) What if Dyson stayed healthy? He is far and away the best peremiter defender in the country. With him out, it shows how much we miss his driving ability. When he was in, we were getting big men in foul trouble because he always drives to lane and intiates contact. He also was able to break down zone d's very well. Now when we face zone, we just pass the ball around the perimeter and nobody drives or moves around.

2) What if Miles would have been given a second chance? This dude can shoot the lights out, as he is proving at the school he went to. How nice would shot be in our lineup right now?

3) What if the NCAA would have cleared Ator Majok? This kid is going to be the real deal. Sure would have been nice to have this kid for depth. Looks like he can really shoot, and is very athletic like Sticks.

I doubt it will happen, but if Thabeet stays, and we add Majok, Coombs-McDaniel, and Ohriaki next year. We should be pretty good.

Austire doesn't play good D, so Harrelson would be equal to or better in that department.

Austrie is a much better defender than Haralson will ever be.
