Cal's the best 3 point shooting team in the nation. They also have one of the most underrated backcourts in the nation with Jerome Randle and Patrick Christopher. Theo Robertson, their SF, would lead the nation in 3 point % if he qualified for the 2.5 made per game (he's right around 2 per game). They don't have much of a frontcourt though.

I still don't see why they got an at-large bid over teams like St. Mary's, Davidson, etc. The last 6 games they only won 2 so I don't see it. Of course Arizona has even less of a case but in any event...They won't get to the sweet-16 so no worries I guess.Cal's the best 3 point shooting team in the nation. Re: West Regional Discussion
Here is an interesting stat for you all to chew on. Missouri is second in the nation in steals and right up there in forcing turnovers (nearly 20 a game). Memphis has a non point guard running their offense who has an assist to turnover ratio of 1.1 (horrible for a point guard if you didnt know). Their next main ball handler Anderson has a a/t ration of 2.0. Memphis will get 40 minutes of hell out of Missouri's coach Mike Anderson (which I am sure Memphis fans know well from his stint at UAB).
This is a Jayhawk fan speaking. I really hate Missouri with all my heart...but i can see them getting to the final four with this favorable matchup.Comment

Re: West Regional Discussion
ESPN really thinks UConn is going down, lol. A pic from their website, three # 1's and Memphis.

Assuming UConn gets out of the first round, I'll be going to their 2nd round game in Philly.

Maybe because they finished 3rd in the Pac-10, swept the Pac-10 champions, beat Arizona State, won @ Utah, and have solid computer numbers?Last edited by Chip Douglass; 03-17-2009, 09:45 PM.I write things on the Internet.

Re: West Regional Discussion
LMAO at Maryland fans chanting ACC. I hope Memphis fans chant Conference USA after they throttle a mediocre Maryland team.
Why is it that fans of crappy teams are always the people caught up in rooting for a conference?
I picked Maryland to win the game but they're not even a top 25 team. It's comical that their fans were pounding their chests.***My Teams***
NCAA - Oklahoma Sooners
MLB - St. Louis Cardinals
NFL - Dallas Cowboys
NBA - Oklahoma City ThunderComment
