I bet both UAB and Tulsa could beat Maryland, and I've actually seen both teams play multiple times so I can say that.

Maryland is probably the 8th/9th best team in the ACC. UAB and Tulsa are the 2nd/3rd best teams in C-USA.

ACC = Power conference
CUSA = Mid-Major

That should be an even match-up. That would be a "10 seed" vs. a "13 seed" that didn't even make the tournament.

I would agree with that. Maryland would have no answer for Jerome Jordan.

But that's neither here nor there.

I don't care how bad C-USA is as long as we continue to play well as a TEAM.

It ain't even about getting them into foul trouble. Our issue is we need to stop letting them drive straight to the hole with no problem. Looking like the damn Capital Beltway out there, the way Memphis is driving to the lane.

I hope so, not because of my bracket or because I have any ill will towards Grievis/Maryland, I actually really like Grievis; even with his horrible shot selection.

I just like to see teams respond favorably when someone is silly enough to give them bulletin board material. And having the option of another game will help if it does get oogly.

Why anyone cares about all that conference stuff I have no idea.

This is pretty much what I expected to see in this game. Memphis is much better than Maryland, and its just not a good matchup.

One thing with Vasquez is that he cannot get tunnel vision this game. Because once he starts getting that, then he just starts jacking up shots just for the **** of it.

Pretty much. I don't think anyone here would disagree with that. This isn't the MD team of a few years back that had an Ibekwe/Gist/Osby inside who could at least pretend to be a legit inside presence. Gus Gilchrist's transfer combined with none of Dupree/Burney/Goins making an impact this year has pretty much killed any shot they had of making noise this year.
