I got to see him play twice his senior year @Montana. Damn, him and Eddie Gill were players. Too bad the rest of their team sucked that year. I think the first game Arceneaux had 31 points and 10 boards, while Gill had 20 and 10 assists. The same in the second game, but Weber lost both games.

I was really hoping to go the rest of my life without seeing Arceneaux's name again.

      Thanks.

6 turnovers facing continual double teams the entire game is not that bad considering he doesnt have the same level of players in the post to pass the ball to for assists. Its easy to get assists when you can throw the ball into a 7' beast who dunks it 8 times. People are looking at the stat line and saying "well he had 6 turnovers thats terrible" watch the video of the game. It is available through CBS. The attention he drew from Kansas' defense was extreme and considering he handles the ball the whole game with that double team pressure it is amazing it is not 12-15 turnovers no matter how good a guy is. The difference in Woodside to other short guards is he gets his points getting to the hoop and the free throw line not relying on a jumper or 3 pointer like the rest of them who are one dimensional. But at the same time he shoots from 3 at around 43% even with the deeper line this year.

He'll be an undrafted free agent who ends up in the D-League until some team needs a backup PG. Not saying he'll never have a career in the NBA, but there are under 70 picks in the NBA Draft and there are probably 70 players in Europe alone who NBA execs would prefer to have rights to than Woodside.

Fair statement. On a side note an article on Woodside and the rest of the NDSU team...

So what does everyone think about Memphis/Mizzou tonight? Sounds like Mizzou thinks their press can bother Evans enough since he isn't a true point guard and they think they'll be able to score inside. They seem confident.

Should be a heckuva game, really wish it wasn't countering Nova/Dook.

I'm pumped for the game. Should be a fun game to watch.

Since Evans turns the ball over more than a true point guard, Mizzou hopes to force far more turnovers than normal with their pressure.

I think the key for Memphis winning tonight is beating their press just like we did against Maryland. If we break it early and often for easy baskets, they'll likely back off and make it a half court game. I like our chances then.

Also, we gotta keep knocking down shots. If Sallie and Mack and Kemp are playing like they did Saturday, I don't see any reason we're not going to our fourth straight Elite 8.

                  8:37 can't come soon enough.

If I were them I'd be focusing on Anderson. He had 9 assists against Northridge and 11 assists against Maryland. I think he had something like 8 turnovers (2 against Maryland), so I'm pretty sure he'll be handling the ball quite a bit against the press.

Personally I don't feel like this is going to be a game that goes down to the wire. I think whoever wins is going to win by 10, and it could go either way.

My guess is, since a lot of people think Mizzou is going to slow Memphis down, Memphis makes a point of curb stomping them...like MSU....and Texas....and UCLA.

I agree with you Psy, I think Memphis is too well coached for Mizzou's press to be as effective as they think it will be, but that's why the games are played. This should be a good one!
