Re: The Official 2009 "Running Commentary of Every Single Tourney Game" Thread
Well as far as im concerned if it was a game to see who will be the better NBA player I think we found out the answer we already knew and that is Blake Griffin. But correct me if Im wrong but Carolina is still playing and Oklahoma isn't. The NCAA champion doesn't go to best NBA player but the best team in the end, so I really don't know what the great debate is about. The last I checked this a NCAA tournament thread not a early entry thread."I'd walk through hell in a gasoline suit to play baseball." -Pete RoseComment

Dude quit it! Your post are pointless and a waste of space
Like I said other than UNC Basketball and San Fran 49ers I don't care for any other team just certain players.
If UNC loses I root for no one KIDComment

I am hoping to see a UConn/UNC matchup, but I wouldn't mind a UConn/Nova matchup after watching the Nova/Pitt game. Villanova is just a fun team to watch.Comment

Villanova is a scary team. I think they are playing the best of the teams that are left.Comment

They are good but I don't know if they match up well.In the paint they have no real shot blocker.
Reynolds and Lawson should be good and also Fisher against Wayne is interesting very off setting players.
If Carolina plays defense like they did today I see no problemsComment

Re: The Official 2009 "Running Commentary of Every Single Tourney Game" Thread
All I can say is that Defense is an underrated quality. Travis Walton is going to be missed next year as much as any player that graduated/left MSU in the last decade.
Interesting stat on Izzo, every player that he has recruited and stayed 4 years has been to a final 4. Walton was in jeopardy of having that streak broken but the little things he's done in this tournament have made the difference. Well that and Suton deciding that he should carry the youngens for the 1st half until their nerves calmed down.
On paper I say UConn wins by 12 to 15, but lets hope that the Spartans can devise a good gameplan and make this a good game.
I said it at the beginning of the tourney, the State of Michigan needed this. I would have to imagine that the city of Detroit will see a significant economic gain from the Spartans making it to the final 4 there.
Good job Spartans, keep it going.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Super Bowl didn't really help, doubt the Final Four will do much, and MSU being there is probably irrelevant. It's not like it wouldn't sell out regardless.Comment

The city will probably make less since fewer people will be coming in from out of town.Comment
