    Larry Scott named Pac-10 commissioner

Scott has been the chairman and CEO of the Women's Tennis Association since 2003, receiving credit for engineering a six-year, $88 million title sponsorship agreement with Sony Ericsson.
He was an All-American in tennis at Harvard and played tennis professionally before moving into administrative work on the Association of Tennis Professionals circuit and then the WTA.

The first step is get out of this Fox TV deal so the Pac-10 can get more TV exposure like ESPN.

From what I've read on different sites he sounds like a forward thinker. Unfortunately, the Fox deal is locked in for 3 more years. So his first step is improving bowl affiliations.

Adding onto the Fox deal is getting the Pac-10 men's basketball tourney the F out of LA (Fox keeps it in LA). The LA area doesn't care enough about it to be there every year. Rotate it between the major metropolitan areas in the 4 states (LA, SF, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland). I guarantee they would actually get decent attendance by rotating it so they don't have to run their own damn infomercials during the games like they did this year.

I'm excited. Anybodys better than Hansen! And I would love, love, love! to see a rotating hosting sight for the Pac-10 tourney!

I would love to see the Pac-10 get an NBC or Fox deal (and I am not talking about FSN) I am talking about the same channel that broadcasts the NFC. If the SEC can ink a deal with CBS. Why can't the Pac-10?

I can't remember where I read it on Tuesday, but he sounds pretty big on using the internet to broadcast games. That has me excited. In today's day & age there's absolutely zero reason every single game shouldn't be viewable in some shape or form.
