Re: Memphis gets permission to talk to Mike Anderson
I wasn't worried about the UGA or Bama jobs but I'm worried now.

Re: Memphis gets permission to talk to Mike Anderson
I'd love to see Memphis get Anderson if all of these rumors are true. I was a fan of the old Arkansas teams back in the day, and I love to watch Anderson's teams play (even when they're running Memphis out of the gym).Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.Comment

The thought of Nolan behind the bench sickens me a little. Anderson is a good coach and so was Nolan.Comment

Re: Memphis gets permission to talk to Mike Anderson
PowerMizzou which is the MU Rivals site is stating that as of 3:30 ct there is been no contact between Missouri and Memphis regarding permission to speak to CMA.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

Re: Memphis gets permission to talk to Mike Anderson
So you'd be on board with this, Squid? Anderson seems like he wouldn't miss a beat recruiting-wise.
That would open up another good job at Mizzou... I don't think they were anticipating having to go through a search for another coach.Comment

In some irony, I could see Billy G getting the Mizzou job if Anderson does leave.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Memphis gets permission to talk to Mike Anderson
I can see Anderson leaving Mizzou for Memphis because first and foremost MU is a football school and the university will only pay up to 2 million a year to its bball coach and the offer Anderson got from UGA is 2.4 million a year. Even though the Big 12 is a better conference for bball (as compared to the SEC and C-USA), I think Anderson would find both offers from UGA and Memphis attractive since in both cases he would get more money and in the case of Memphis, the bball program would be first priority. I can only imagine how scary Memphis would be with Anderson's style of play and the talent pool available to him down there. As a Mizzou fan I predict that by the end of the week we will hear an announcement that Anderson is leaving. Then MU will hire someone who is fundamentally sound but whose style of play doesn't fit the talent and athleticism of the returning players Anderson recruited. Say hello to another 16-16 season like last year.

Re: Memphis gets permission to talk to Mike Anderson
Of course, I may have to if we end up with another Tic Price era (which is where we may be headed).
Oh, and I just saw on ESPN where Georgia has officially offered MA the job there.Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.Comment
