Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Michigan picked up their second commit for 2010 in Tim Hardaway Jr from Village of Palmetto Bay (FL). If we could now just land Zeigler this will be a really nice class along with Evan Smotrycz and Hardaway.Originally posted by VP Richard M. Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Its is not 2010 news but Michigan is in very good position for shooting guard Brandon Kearney of Detroit (MI) Southeastern who is the #69 player in the class of 2011.
He could decide in early August.
Hopefully landing Kearney would help us with his 2011 teammate power forward Percy Gibson
of Detroit (MI) Southeastern who is the #66 player in 2011.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Horns get a commit from DeAndre Daniels of CA. Barnes is putting together a monster for 2011! He currently has 4 kids for the '11 class..all on the Rivals 100, and the "lowest" rated one is #65. http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=961708Last edited by Laettner32; 07-08-2009, 07:29 PM.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
Carolina looks like Barnes or nothing for now. IMO, I strongly think we should make a move for Leslie.
Deon/Henson/Wear/Wear
Ed/Zeller/Wear/Wear
Worst case scenario, both Henson and Sleeves declare for the draft. That leaves the Wear twins and Zeller to fill the 4/5 until, hopefully, McAdoo arrives. In addition, Zeller has the skill set and size to leave after his junior season if he shows just enough for the NBA. That could potentially leave us with a 3 man rotation in the post for what looks could be a championship run-type year, a la 05/08/09.
If miraculously everyone stays...
Drew (sr.)/Marshall (soph.)
Strickland* (jr.)/Bullock (soph.)/Watts (sr.)
Henson*(jr.)/McDonald (jr.)/
Davis*(sr.)/McAdoo (frosh)/Wear (jr.)/Wear (jr.)
Zeller*(sr.)/Wear (jr.)/Wear (jr.)
Now what will probably happen...
Drew (sr.)/Marshall (soph.)
Strickland* (jr.)/Bullock (soph.)/Watts (sr.)
McDonald (jr.)/ (Prather, Gbinije, Hairston, Thomas?)
Wear (jr.)/McAdoo (frosh)/Wear (jr.)
Zeller* (sr.)/Wear (jr.)
Worst case...
Drew (sr.)/Marshall (soph.)
Bullock (soph.)/Watts (sr.)/ (Prather, Gbinije, Hairston, Thomas?)
McDonald (jr.)/ (Prather, Gbinije, Hairston, Thomas?)
Wear (jr.)/McAdoo (frosh)
Wear (jr.)/McAdoo (frosh) (??? idk what bigmen we are looking at for '11)
I'm never in cocern about about our wings just because of the versatility McDonald brings and we have a handful of recruits who are strong leans towards UNC. If we get Leslie, I'm thinking he will be a two year players, at the very least, so that would solve all post problems up to there.Last edited by Onions; 07-13-2009, 05:51 AM.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Discussion Thread
It looks like Fabricio De Melo is leaning towards Syracuse
Orange recruiting target Fabricio De Melo (aka "Fab Melo") has reportedly narrowed down his list to four schools - Louisville, Syracuse, Florida and Miami. Fab Melo, a 7-foot, 267-pound center from Brazil, took an unofficial visit to the SU campus in May.
Melo, a top-five prospect in the Class of 2010, transferred from his school in Brazil to Sagemont High School in Florida, and had to sit out last season due to state rules regarding international transfers.
Fab Melo told Gatorsports.com's Kevin Brockway he wants to make a decision next week, before he goes home to visit family in Brazil. Brockway adds a source close to Melo believes his decision will come down to Syracuse and Louisville, and "the consensus among AAU coaches and recruiting analysts is that Melo is heavily leaning toward Syracuse."My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment
