Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
WOW!!! What a game between WVU and Marquette. Mountaineers survive thanks to Butler's GW jumper with 2.3 seconds remaining. Marquette shot the lights out going something like 10-15 from 3-point range but couldn't hit a FT when they needed to. Great win for WVU in a game that looked like they were going to lose with a few minutes remaining and down by 7.Comment

The problem with Coombs is his lack of athleticism. But then again, Marcus Williams was not very athletic either.
I don't think Majok can impose his will yet. I think he'll need at least one more year after this one to really be considered an NBA "prospect". Same with Kemba in terms of time needed... Kemba plays way too erratic and hyper at times. But he can be the next Ty Lawson.

UofL opens Big East play tonight at home vs South Florida. I am concerned about this game not only because UofL has struggled against teams that run 4 guards or smaller, quicker lineups, but also the fact that Louisville has lost 3 straight games that are before the UK game.
Can't afford to start conference play 0-1 when you're facing one of the teams believed to be on the "bottom rung".I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Maybe Dyson fouled him 2 seconds earlier. Hard to tell. But the foul they actually called was completely made up.
Kemba has to figure out how to run an offense, or this team is going nowhere.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

UofL opens conference play with a victory over South Fla. USF was undermanned for this game and foul trouble caused them to be even more at a disadvantage.
Next up the big rival game vs Kentucky before returning to the road @ Providence.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

HUGE win for Pitt today. This team continues to improve as the season wears on. Getting Dixon (foot) and Brown (academic problems) back has helped big time as well. Syracuse just couldn't shoot and got into major foul trouble late. Pitt has also owned the Orange at the Carrier dome as of late. This win will definitely help a very young Pitt team gain more confidence as they move deeper into the Big East schedule expecially during this run of very tough games.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Like I said before, No Big East team will go undefeated, and you might as well lose the way Syracuse did so they can learn.Pitt Played a good game and Syracuse did not get any breaks what so ever, there will be games like this though, thats basketball. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment
