Got to give Notre Dame credit. Two big wins like this (blowing out Pitt and Georgetown) is hard to ignore this close to tournament-time.

Now THAT is how you send a message to the rest of the nation.
SU "Shut It Down" against 'Nova tonight. What an impressive performance the last 30 minutes of that game. Defense was suffocating, the rebounding was spectacular and the offensive game was well-rounded.
I don't put much on rankings but it'll sure be nice to see SU at No. 1 next week in the polls. They no doubt have what it takes to make a run at the title. Tough loss for 'Nova but I know they will bounce back and be a tough out come tournament time.Currently Playing:

As far as the rankings go, I could care less if Syracuse is #1 on Monday. They pretty much wrapped up a #1 seed and thats what matters most.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

FWIW (which isn't very much), Mary-Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O'Brien from 24) has Syracuse winning the national championship.Through music, you can live forever...TEAMS: San Diego Chargers, San Diego Padres, Notre Dame Fighting IrishComment

What a basketball game. UofL gets outrebounded by 28 and UConn turns the ball over 11 times more than UofL to keep each other in the game and in the end UofL wins by 2.
Its a 2 game season for UofL and we need to win one of the two and it starts Tuesday against Marquette.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: The 2009/2010 Big East Thread
Today's game was a microcosm of the season for UConn. Look like a Top 10 team for a good stretch (first ten min of the game), then fall apart. Inconsistent enough to drive you crazy.
First the defense went, then eventually the ball control and decision making went. Ultimately f'd with Dyson's piss-poor turnover on the crucial play with under :20 remaining.

That is not good news. I wasn't really expecting to win in Morgantown but now it's going to take a huge effort from the fellas.
BTW, i thought the gameplan for the ND game was horrible. ND didn't start a player over 6'7 yet Monroe and Julian shoot under 15 shots combined.Comment
