UofL tips off vs Morgan State in about 45 minutes. Hopefully we have a better showing then yesterday.

            Laughable...

Radford actually has that really good center who is 6'11, so the height advantage wasn't really that much of an advantage.

Sorry they had a really good shooting night. Do you really expect any coach to say "you know, we're shooting really well from 3 tonight, but lets change it up because this is what I'm known for"? That's ridiculous.

UofL looking good through the 1st half. Helps that Morgan State is willing to go up and down. UofL leads 50-35 at the break.

They still base their entire attack on their outside shooting. They never learn. One 7-footer shouldn't make them a perimeter team, especially when dook is "loaded" in the middle. 32 out of 72 shots from behind the arc. 23 of 72 from the big men. Despite 3 guards on the team. You keep whining about dook needing to make changes, then defend them for doing the same thing.

But I've gone on record before & I'll say it again: "Don't change koach k."

UNC will always have the advantage in the middle. & the preferred destiny for true big men will always be Chapel Hill over Durham.

Dook won't go anywhere as long as they stay a jump shooting team, we all know this. They need to go back to what won them NC's back in the 90s and early 2000's. But I don't know if Coach K ever will again, seems he has fallen in love with this European style of ball.

Their big men sans Zoubek, Lance, and Miles can shoot from the perimeter very well, so what else do you expect? Not to mention the three guards they do have are prolific outside shooters. When we had traditional big men, things changed. When Shelden was here he got his fair share of shots, but of course The Great One was there at the same time so the stats don't recognize that.

I still think K is way past his prime and needs to give it up, but he's only playing the hand he was dealt (by himself). He either needs to retire or find a big man coach that actually, you know, played the position before.

Anyone see #17 Oklahoma lost to VCU 82-69 last night? OU was down by 17 at one point, closed to 10 at the half, and never got closer than that the rest of the way.

Those guys didn't take any 3's.

Every year, dook recruits a "traditional big man" & turns him into a pick man & an offensive rebounder. Its up to the coaching staff to develop him. But they don't know what to do w/them but have them set screens for a 3-pointer.

And Shelden was vastly overrated. He never developed any skills. He was the exact same player he was as a senoir as when he was a freshman. That's why Sean May got 20+ boards against him every night. Shelden was a mediocre fish in a pond w/no fish when he played. Everytime he played against a legit pivot, they had a field day. Shelden was dominant only if he didn't have a good player he had to check himself. He was purely a help defender & a limited offensive player.

If his kids take up basketball, for their sake, I hope they take after their mom & not their father.

Everyone thought VCU would go down after losing Maynor. Those people haven't been paying attention to how the Rams have been playing over the last few seasons. They are still strong.

My point is, dook has a team heavy w/post players. And they are still trying to chuck 3pters the same way that has eliminated them one week into the tourney for close to the last decade.

And my point is that his post players are outside oriented and he has no choice but to play to their strengths, and I disagree with his approach and he either needs to change it or retire. You can't force guys to play inside if they're not that great at it.

I didn't think I was so confusing, but I know people on this site are chomping at the bit for a chance to make me look bad, so whatever I guess.
