I have to agree with Koolie. Cornell was ranked in the top 25 for the latter part of the season. It makes no sense for them to be seeded as low as they are. The only reason they were seeded this low is because the committee doesn't respect them for being an Ivy League team even though the polls knew they were better.

My thoughts exactly.

Compared to other teams, I see no where you can move Cornell up at all. In terms of body of work, you certainly can't put them with Northern Iowa, or even Old Dominion for that matter. That rules out being a 9 seed or even an 11 seed, so where else are you going to put them?

With the logic you guys are giving, even Siena should have had a higher seed than Cornell.

Like I said, is Cornell better than a 12 seed? Sure. Did they deserve a higher seed? No.

Cornell can definitely score against Kentucky. Both Temple and Wisconsin have better defenses than Kentucky and Cornell put on an offensive clinic against both teams.

If UK plays defense the way they have so far this tournament, Cornell won't shoot over 35% from the field. UK's defense has not been stellar for most of the season, except for the 20 minutes a game they tried. Now they have been playing 40 minutes a game and have been one of the best defensive teams in the tournament. Granted we are only talking about 2 games here so it remains to be seen if these CATS can keep up the defensive intensity.

Cornell is a scary game for UK. But no more scary than playing WVU after that and potentially Syracuse. You have to play the best to be the best and in fact, you need to beat the best. If UK loses it will be a great season for a bunch of freshman. If they win, the story continues...

Seriously, why are we arguing about what rank Cornell should be. All I know is that they are shooting absolutly lights out and I sure as Sh** would not want to play them.

I got my wish in the Sweet 16 Purdue!!! A team that likes to grind it out and not a team that wants to run up and down, although Cal did and we smoked them. Btw why whine about the refs? It was 5 to 4 in the first half as far as fouls they let the kids play. That first half went by so quick if you blinked you missed it. I like those types of called games instead of a free throw shooting contest from first half all the way to the second half.

I'm glad nobody but Duke fans want us to win btw. It's a badge of honor I wear proudly with that being said I'm off to Houston on Fri morning can't wait!!!!!!!! Being in Jax was ok, but I'd rather be in Houston, because it means we are still in it to win it!!!!!!! GO DUKE!

I wouldn't give UK a lock yet. If Cornell starts dropping three's it could be a close game. Not saying Cornell will beat them, but I like Cornell if they start dropping alot of three's.

I have a $20 bet with my brother about the UK-Cornell game; he wins if the Wildcats are leading Cornell by 20 or more at half.

I personally think the Big Red can and will keep it close for the better portion of the game, but I think UK's talent shows towards the middle of the second half and they pull away.

I'm with you.

I would make the bet if it was that UK has a 20 point lead at one point in the game, but it's a little risky to expect them to be up 20 after 20 minutes. Then again, if Cornell doesn't make their shots, it will get very, very ugly.
