I had WV/Bay/KState/Kansas in that bracket, so close to making some serious noise, but I'm happier with the outcomes IRL.Golf: Bubba

That game moved me up to the top 94% on Yahoo. Currently sitting at 120,000. Not bad since I didn't really take the bracket too seriously this year.Fan of....

The refs were horrible in the first half and not great the second. But that had zero to do with the outcome of the game. UK was out coached and out executed. Plain and simple. They played right into Huggins' hands and allowed WVU to play their style after that 3 barrage in the first half.
HuskerOS, I don't know what you are talking about eating crow, unless there were some UK fans talking like they were unbeatable? The only thing I personally ever argued with you, and would still do so, is that you said UK is overrated. UK couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and were frustrated by the 1-3-1, but that doesn't make a 35 win team overrated.
As for my feelings, as much as it stings to watch these guys lose a game where they played so off, there is a lot to look forward to. I said in the beginning of the year that I thought with the talent we had that anything less than an Elite 8 would be dissapointing. That's what they got so I'm happy (as happy as I could be after just losing anyway). We are about to land another load of a class, and while we may lose 5 players to the NBA, there's actually a good chance we only lose 3.
It's going to be tough watching these kids go. Wall has been nothing but a superstar on and off the court. A great leader, player and teammate and will hopefully have a legendary career. Cousins has transformed in front of our eyes. He came into college known as a troublemaker but sans a few moments of immaturity, has shown more often than not to keep his cool. Especially now compared to the beginning of the season. Great great player that also may have a HOF Career, if he continues to mature and stops crying so much (he does cry a little too often even if it has merit). And what can you say about Patterson? If every player was like Patterson in maturity, leadership, likeability, and skill then UK fans could never be happier. Great career and will be SORELY missed.#WeAreUKComment

Just because Cousins has matured, doesn't mean he's even close to where he needs to be.Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

This is just amazing.
Congrats to a good season Kentucky fans. Still don't feel like we were given enough credit (not from Kentucky fans in particular, the whole basketball world) for the season we've had.
Huggs is the man.Comment

I never said he is. In fact, between his maturity and development of skills, I think Cousins has only reached about 75% of his potential. Of course he is only 19, but that extra 25%, if he works on it, will make him a perennial All Star in the NBA. But that is up to him.#WeAreUKComment

Anyway, thank you. You always root for the team that beat you (unless it is Duke 1992 of course) so you gained another fan during the tourney. Good Luck!#WeAreUKComment

You are the crow eater.
...Well....Looks like people were right, weren't they?
The three pointer definitely hurt Kentucky, but it was entirely the older group shooting it. Prior to the last few minutes, the young'uns had attempted three or four for the game while the older group jacked up 10+.
The lack of ability to shoot the three didn't hurt Kentucky; the insistence on shooting the three hurt Kentucky.
And again, we're comparing them losing to the #4 or #5 team in the country to them losing to an Ivy League school.
My issue was never with WVU fans thinking their team would prevail. My point was with the UK/Calipari-haters thinking Kentucky would lose in the 32/16 round because Wall/Cousins/Bledsoe would forget how to play basketball. I had said before the tournament that WVU was the #4/5 team going into the tournament.
Using my quotes describing the game between #1 Kentucky/#12 (or whatever) Cornell on the game between #1/#2 Kentucky/WVU is stupid.Last edited by Cebby; 03-27-2010, 10:49 PM.Comment

I don't know about Brandon Knight or anything for next year, but let me tell you this, I guarantee he won't be half as good as Wall. Wall was the only guy to show up today for UK and he took over half the game. Love that kid.
It's really ****ing sad that Kentucky had to play the best #2 seed, it shouldn't have been that way. Kentucky shouldn't have had to play us. While Duke gets the cupcake road to the Final Four.Comment
