I think Butler is capable of defending Duke, but won't be able to last on the glass. Veasley and Nored are pesky and I wouldn't be shocked if they could at least force Scheyer and Smith into an off game. However, with this said, they will probably get pummeled on the glass and all of those extra second chance buckets are going to be why Duke wins this game.

I'd probably go Duke 68, Butler 58.

I've yet to hear a non-Duke fan say it'll be close. Everyone on this board is predicting a blowout. Even Dicky V said "THERE IS NO WAY" Butler wins. Albeit Dicky V is constantly on Dukes nuts, but still.

Vitale is a blowhard, and the so called "experts" haven't been experts on this tournament. Tell me when they actually called something right? I'm actually sick of ESPN, and CBS. The "Hoosier" angle when it's not even close. This team was a top 15 team and was only 2 spots behind us in the preseason polls *Duke was either a 8 or 9 rank team with Butler being a 10 or a 11*. Not to mention they beat Ohio State, Syracuse, Kansas State, and Michigan State. Are you kidding me? That's a great resume to have, and they have won 25 straight games. These talking heads if the name said a Big 6 school would give them a heckuva chance to win this game. Only because it's Butler do they say it's gonna be a easy win for Duke. They almost for a second made me root for Butler due to the disrespect they are giving this team. Notice I said almost.

How many bandwagons do they have to jump on? First it was Kansas and they go down. Then it was Syracuse and they go down. Then it was Kentucky and they go down. Then half went to WVU and we beat them like a drum. Now they are on to us. Not to mention Digger saying the day before we will beat Baylor then the day of the game he switches, and even Sat he said once Duke would beat WVU and in the same broadcast picked WVU!!!! After all that's happened I believe it is foolish to not even give Butler a chance to win this game period. How many times does the media need to look like morons before they just brush off a teams chances?

Bilas was kinda right. He picked Cornell to go to the Elite Eight and beat UK, but those are just semantics.

I read post after post about how the NCAA needs to implement a tournament into football, because that's how it's done in basketball...

I guess even when you get the system you want, there's still going to be people who find a reason to gripe. If Butler wins tonight, there's going to be a **** ton of people saying, " I told you so, their road to the championship was weak"..My point is, there's enough haters out there as it is, can't we just enjoy this matchup for what it is ? There's two good teams playing for it all... what more do you want ?

The other thing I don't get is.. the hate because of the media flapping their gums. That's what they get paid to do and they do a damn good job of it. They talk sports, you don't have to listen. If you choose to form your opinions about teams, just because a popular media member is, in some people's own words, "overhyping them" or something.. that's just stupid.

Sorry for the rant out of nowhere.. I just don't understand why we can't enjoy the matchup.. rather then find something to nag about.

Tonight the college basketball season ends.

I'm hoping for a good close game — there has been so much excitement in this tourney it would only be fitting.

I HATE dook, but if they win I get a week of nothing in 2 of my classes (English & Spanish)

I was hardly even talking about the media. I expect them to say things like that. They always do. But I am surprised that the majority here at OS are saying the same things they are.
