If UNM wins I finish 11-5 which isn't terrible, but I've lost 3 of my Sweet 16 (UTEP, G'Town, Texas) and 2 of my Elite 8 (Texas, G'Town). I'm going to have to be flawless on the remaining rounds to even stand a chance.

Are you actually going to try to compare Brown and Hamilton to Wall and Cousins? I haven't watched many of Texas' games this year, but if you honestly think it was a failure of a season because they lost to a solid team on a buzzer beater that wouldnt have even mattered if not for a freshman playing like a freshman at the end of the game, then I don't know what to tell ya. I don't pin this season on the coach at all.. the freshman just need to develop.

Yeah. No. Preseason #3 to a #8 seed and losing in the first round after choking away the game in OT. Yeah, no reason to be disappointed there.

They were undefeated and proceeded to lose 10 of their last 17, a collapse of epic proportion.

Some of that has to rest on the coach's shoulders.

I realize their OOC was somewhat weak, but that's still a huge breakdown.

So by this logic, Cuse fans shouldn't be disappointed if they lose in the 2nd round because they weren't even in the pre-season polls, so really, their season is more of a surprise in a good way than it would be a failure if they lose...

Texas was ranked 3rd in the pre-season rankings before we even got a chance to see their most important players play. You don't see a problem with that logic?

Preseason polls aside, Texas was 17-0 and #1 in the country at one point.
