    Re: 2011 Recruiting Discussion Thread

The more I read Shabazz tweets, the more it sounds like UK is the leader, though Coach K is trying to make a push inviting Shabaz to the UNC Duke game mar.3

Anthony Bennet is another that Calipari is in the Mix for along with Gary Harris, Jarnell Stokes, and Alex Polyress. But UK is going all in on Shabazz.

For 2013, Cats could outdo this class. Theyre in strong with Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, Nerlens Noel, and the Harrison Twins

Nerlens Noel is a beast man. He's a game changer. Can't wait to see him round out his all around game.

Yeah, but for some reason, I'm still drinking the Julius Randle Koolaid whom Parker and Noels passed in recent months in the '13 rankings

Your good at list. What about making a list of past recruiting classes that were headlined by a unanimous front-runner forever only to be transplanted in the final years or even the final month before the final rankings were released

It's funny. I wouldn't even have to look it up because it just happened.

Austin Rivers was hands down the best player in the nation...right up until Anthony Davis just exploded. It's like everyone wanted Rivers to be the #1 guy but they just could not deny Davis' skillset.

Before that remember that Gilchrist ruled this class as #1 since his Freshmen year being passed by Rivers shortly after his UK commitment.

Drummond was supplanted by Shabazz right before he declared for the '11 class

Same thing happened to Brandon Knight who was passed by Selby, Sullinger, and Irving in the last year of evaluation.

Still am Floored over ESPN's Fran Franchilla ranking John Wall #4 behind Bradley, Favors, and Cousins.

They say that during an exam, your initial gut feeling is usually correct and the mind tricks you into picking wrong last second. Recruiting services sometimes make that same error.
