I love St. Mary's gym. It looks so much like a high school gym. And I mean that in a good way. I just love the atmosphere it creates.

It might as well be a high school gym. I went to a game there five years ago and honestly couldn't believe how small it was. I knew it was small from seeing it on TV, but I just didn't expect it to be that small. I would have loved to go to a game there last year when they were doing so well. Probably got pretty crazy in there.

I'm already sick of the "Steve Lavin used to work for ESPN" angle of their coverage.

Man, my throat hurts badly. What an incredible crowd for an 11pm game. Couldn't ask for much more.

We got completely dominated on the glass but free throw shooting of all things actually won the game for us.

This year is going to be a "learn as you go" type of season but what a great victory for these young kids. It'll only give them more confidence going forward.

Also something to add: That was the single longest basketball game I had ever been to. Lasted almost 2 and a half hours. 58 fouls, 75 free throws. Just awful pace to the game.

Fell asleep at halftime of St. John's-SMC last night. Lame I know.

Just turned the marathon back on, and this is a pretty good mid-major/small-conference match-up. Kent State is a perennial MAC contender and Robert Morris has been a competitive tourney team the last couple of years.

It's becoming a good game now too, KENT just made a comeback.

Wow, Holt could've single handily cost his team a win by throwing that elbow to the bench costing his team a technical.

Up four with ball and instead, RMU is able to tie it with a free throw and a three.

And Northeastern might be about to win in OT (2.1 seconds left) on a technical free throw after a SIU player apparently called a timeout when the team was out of them.

63-62 with around 2.5 seconds left in OT.

Yeah, crappy way to end the game, especially since it was headed to double OT.
