Who else is in their class?

And it's may be just me but I don't see the hype with McGary. I just don't see elite player in him.

I see it in Shabazz Muhammad. I see it in Kyle Anderson. McGary? Not seeing it.

Just my opinion though guys...calm down.

How do you see it in Kyle Anderson? While he is smart and has good skills, he is one of the slowest 5 star players I have ever seen. In AAU ball, with no defense, he shined. Wait until he faces talented players that also play hard defense. When that happens, he will be shut down.

Led his team to an undefeated season last year as a Jr, state title, beat current UK frosh Kidd-Gilchrist's St. Patrick squad, completely lit up the summer's AAU circuit, won MVP in pretty much every tournament he played in.

Probably will dominate this season as well.

Unless I'm not following closely enough, I haven't seen anything close to that from McGary who had a more talented Brewster squad.

"Slo-Mo" may not be the quickest player, but he seems to be a man amongst boys. How are you the MVP of pretty much every tournament you're in...especially when you're playing with the best players in the nation?

I haven't seen it from McGary. Maybe he has a good senior year but...he's supposed to with that loaded squad he's on.

I don't think he's going to be a 1-and-done (not that that may even exist in the next CBA) but he's a very skilled big. He isn't going to wow you with highlights but that doesn't mean anything. I love his footwork and fundamentals. As long as he can finish in traffic and against players his size then he'll be a heck of a player IMO.

That being said, I do see some Josh McRoberts in him. Though McGary appears to actually be able to shoot the ball, at least at the HS level.

I know the recruiting services miss on a fair number of prospects each year, but they usually get the top 5 right and that speaks well for McGary.

I agree about his skillset. He just seems to me to be more of a complimentary guy.

Pretty much all of those guys are in the NBA. Kanter is the only one who didn't have the college impact (because he wasn't allowed). Even if McGary doesn't develop into a superstar, he gives Michigan a top 5 recruit and will allow them to get some other five star prospects.

I don't even remember a thing Mullens did for Ohio State(seriously him and koufas are blurs to me). To be honest, I can say the same for Avery Bradley, Josh Shelby(head case) & Scottie Hopson(head case but so was his coach).

Still the majority have or will be key contributors in the NBA. They won't all be stars but will all have some form of impact.

I never, ever saw the hype around Avery Bradley. I know he's still young so maybe he can turn into a decent role player in the NBA but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Besides him, Mullens is the only one I'd consider a big bust. Kid didn't even start for OSU.
