Eh, not really. For me, it's about picking similar, but slightly different combinations for the final four, final game, and champ to maximize my chances of winning money in the pools I'm in. I'll never take in a huge payday since I won't have the winner in every one. But the pools I'm in aren't huge money or anything, so all it takes is winning one to put me ahead for the year.
My brackets are just a side show. They don't have any affect on my enjoyment of the games. I always root for the Big Ten teams, even if it screws my brackets. Wisconsin beating KSU tonight cost me money, but I was happy it happened. If Michigan beats Duke tomorrow, it will cost me money. But there's no way I'm going to be rooting for Duke.
