Re: The Official 2011 "Running Commentary of Every Single Tourney Game" Thread
Good job Washington, Georgia screwed the pooch so to speak when they wait to foul Washington on two consecutive possessions.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Yeah, if UGA doesn't screw up and not foul, there is 8 seconds to get a half decent three pointer off.
That's what you get.
Now, onto rooting like hell for Indiana State.Too Old To Game Club

I really thought he was going to bank that home when I saw where it hit on the backboard.
Heck of an ending. Love watching Washington. Huskies/Tar Heels should be a helluva game.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

I don't know if Washington can win in essentially UNC's backyard, but it should definitely be an entertaining game.Comment

Gus is starting to sound disappointed that this isn't going to be a close game (probably).Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

He wants to be the announcer for all the buzzer beaters, upsets, etc.
Kentucky really impressed me in this 2nd round. They convinced me that I made the right decision putting them in the Final Four.

what about the games he won for us including @ Cuse where he played in the middle of the 2-3 and was the main man in the offense. Or the game @ Mizzou where he sent the game into OT. Or the game vs the Johnnies at home where we destroyed them. Unfortunately we ran into a good VCU team at the wrong time. VCU deserves all the credit in the world. I knew at the first possession of the 2nd half that we were doomed. We had some good ball movement but they closed down on our shooters and forced us into a turnover. Then they came down and hit a 3. It was a wrap after that.Yeah but even when Chris Wright was healthy he was making a bunch of turnovers that cost them games. I know during the game against WVU on ESPN early in the Big East season he made some crucial mistakes that cost them. Same thing with the St. John's upset at MSG.
I hate to bring Duke into this, but G'Town would benefit by copying Duke's winning ways and recruiting 3 point shooters and less bulky, more athletic guards.
Its a lot easier to say you can copy Dook than it is to actually do it. we actually have some really good shooters.Comment

Princeton is a tough out and they played the best game out of all the low/mid majors who didn't pull a 1st round upset.Originally posted by Ace11What? In almost losing to Princeton, they impressed you?
I think that game winning shot will spark them in the coming rounds. Harrelson established himself as one of the dominant big men in the tournament and now Knight knows that he can be Mr. Clutch in a close game.

So both Duke and Michigan play the early games on Friday, but the UNC-Washington game is the first game on Sunday in Charlotte at 12:15 pm Eastern (9:15 Pacific)? How can the NCAA justify doing this? Washington has to play the latest game on Friday and in North Carolina's backfield on the shortest possible rest, what a joke..."You should only drink to enhance your social skills." -Barney GumbleComment

He's had his moments, I just don't like the idea of these bulky guards and SFs in a Princeton offense. I'd prefer if Georgetown got some speed guards and 3 point shooters but keeps getting the quality 6'11", 7 footers down low. I think it would make them a much more formidable team. Right now they're too easy to stop defensively. I think Markel Starks is a much faster guard than Wright so maybe if he develops the right way he can really make the G'Town offense flow.what about the games he won for us including @ Cuse where he played in the middle of the 2-3 and was the main man in the offense.
