He clearly called it after the 4th motion by the ref. You're not allowed to call TO after the 4th. It was correct.

I'm staring at the rule book (p110 of the link below), and I see nothing of the sort. If you're getting that from TNT, remember that people at TNT are stupid.

The refs got it right on both calls:

1) 5 second call was correct.

2) Foul occurred after the clock expired/game ended.

I actually was rooting for Texas (for bracket purposes), but the refs got it right.

I swear I've seen guys call TOs just before the 5 count and there was no violation called, but that's the NBA.

not sure why its not listed there, but its a rule thats been in place. You're not allowed to call timeout after the ref reaches the 4th count.

Sounds like Jereme Richmond isn't expected to play tonight for Illinois once again.

Thats a big blow to our depth, especially against a team like Kansas.
