Ugh, that was awful. I regret even watching that garbage.

Re: The Official 2011 "Running Commentary of Every Single Tourney Game" Thread
prior to this game they said it was like Washington St. 1941 with a 21%... Butler was around 19% at the time...
I'm sure the record will be all but Butler's at this point.
Good game UCONN, congrats to Jim Calhoun for joining rare company. Butler really just needed a big at this point. Two back to back NC is still quite the feat, but the lack of a true inside player has now bitten them twice in the foot. It may be the difference in them being champions.. and just being the other team standing between the 5* talents of the game. Sucks... but that's basketball ultimately.Comment

Butler: 12/66 (18.2%) from the field, 9/35 (25.7%) from 3. That means they were 3/31 (9.6%) from 2 point range. There really aren't any words that can describe how horrible that is.Comment

Butler 18% shooting, worst ever in a championship game.
Like I said earlier IMO this was the best tournament I ever watched, then it ends with the worst championship game I've ever seen.
UConn was by far the better team tonight, so disappointed in Butler, talk about not showing up, 18% shooting is just ridiculous.
What an embarrassing performance.Favorite Teams:

I bet they could take 31 shots uncontested and blindfolded and make like 5.Comment

UConn deserves a lot of credit for the tenacity of their team, the way they started the season in Maui thru the Big East/NCAA Tournament.. .....However, with all of the news this year coming out of Connecticut, this championship feels tainted to me. These kids played their hearts out for Calhoun, but I think this program may be dirtier than the minor infractions that they have taken hits on. I'm just stating an opinion, and I do not expect it to be popular. Congrats UConn!Comment

Probably. This was one of those nights where you couldn't make anything even if you were wide open. Sucks that it had to be the biggest night of them all.
Congrats to UConn though for an absolutely outstanding postseason run.Comment
