The first half of the day was great but tonights games were not so thrilling outside of MSU and UCLA

I think it's funny as hell that most of thought that game was over at half time.

Yeah I think it's safe to pencil the 3 #1 seed games for tomorrow in as duds, hopefully we can get some more thrillers, first 8 games today were for the most part thrilling, the night cap had a few solid games but for the most part they were one sided.

Finished 14-2 today. Easily my best first day in a bracket I have done. At one point I was like 1500th on ESPN, then fell to 26,000 and now 17,000

It'd be nice if USU got a seed better than an 11 for once.


RPI was good this year. 30-3 record. Reward? 12th seed. Meanwhile Penn State got a 10 seed with 14 losses and no solid wins before conference play.



'09: Played 24-9 Marquette as 11 seed
'10: Played 23-9 Texas A&M as 12 seed
'11: Played KSU who went 10-6 in the Big XII



I guess 30-3 wasn't good enough for a 10 seed. Maybe 31-2 next season will earn a 10 seed.

What a day, 12 hours and 12 minutes of basketball bliss. Started with the bang and tailed off in the end, but overall a very enjoyable Day 1.

Now it's on to Day 2... and Gus!

It'd be nice if USU got a seed better than an 11 for once.

It would have been nice if they showed up. If they had played the whole game the way they did the last 4 minutes I think they could have won.


Belmont was a lost cause they just weren't athletic enough for Wisconsin.

Penn State played like they belonged today, you could present a legit argument against a number of bubble teams that got seeded higher than Utah State but Penn State showed up and made Temple put them away on a buzzer beater.

Utah State came out and played like garbage in the first half and for portions of the second.

Penn State played as good as you can expect a 10 seed to play, Utah State played as inconsistently as you'd expect a 12 to play.
