I'm really impressed with Ryan Kelly's play here lately. It was extremely frustrating watching him play last year and just miss shot after shot after shot.

It felt like there were a lot of times where Duke could have run away with this game. Liked the way Michigan stayed around. Would have liked to see Hardaway not be completely invisible in the first half.
And yes, Burke is going to be ridiculous.Comment

UCLA is gonna be one of those teams where "if they could ever put it together dot dot dot". They aren't a top 10 team for sure but they are a talented and big team.
They don't seem very stable mentally, they have way too many defensive lapses by overplaying. They need hard working guys and unselfish guys, it's pathetic to see them not get back on defense.
But, they have talent for sure, they're at least 8 deep if not more.
They ignore Josh Smith on offense.Comment

Bruins just aren't a team right now. They don't mesh on either side of the ball and they seem not to really like each other as people.
I still feel like they're gonna be a bubble team who gets in and could cause trouble.Comment

They look pretty damn good, that's for sure. Beating another Top 25 squad by 39? Not bad, Mr. Haith, not bad at all. He's clearly starting off on the right foot with the team, fans, and alumni. One of the anchors at the station I work at is an Alum, and he can't stop talking about him. The Tigers could go deep into March, this season and quite a few seasons after.Boston Red Sox

They've struggled OOC which the committee will take a good look at. The Pac 12 is so deep.
If they lose against Michigan...although it's still very early...they may not be able to climb out of this.
Historically...the Pac 12 hasn't placed alot of teams in the tourney.Comment

I don't think anyone should even assume that a one-win team...who is going up against a better Michigan team will be a bubble team.

2. The Pac 12 IMO isn't really all that deep, in fact I think they're one of the weaker conferences as has been the usual in recent years
3. A loss to Michigan definitely wouldn't be a nail in the coffin, they haven't even played more than 10 games, lmao
It looks really bad now but they've shown flashes and IMO they have one of the deepest teams talent wise in the conference. They have just as much if not more size than anyone in their conference.
It's really up to them if they want to be there mentally and put the effort in there defensively.
All I was saying was I think they're the team that fits the "if they could only put it together"... obviously with these type teams they probably have headcases [Josh Smith and Nelson Reeves] or are selfish... So nothing is really that certain with teams like those, and UCLA obviously has their issues. If you deny that the talent is there then that's on you.Comment

1. I never said assume squat, so I have no idea why you said that

You said you felt they'll be a bubble team. Based on what exactly...their preseason rankings? Because they haven't beat anybody so far outside of Chaminade.
The Pac 12 is deeper than they've been because when has Oregon State ever been this good, Arizona will be near the top, Stanford has gotten off to a hot start, etc.
The Michigan game is big; not nail in the coffin, but important.
I never said a word about their talent.
But if they keep up playing like they are...recruits are gonna be gone. I'm sure Shabazz already scratched them off his list.
And I don't know what's going on in Reeves' head but he seems like he might implode before the season's over.Comment

You were the one asking why anyone should assume they'd be a bubble team. I never said you or anyone should assume anything, I was simply saying how I felt about them.
It's blatantly obvious that they look like **** right now. My silver lining is that they have size/talent in a not overwhelming conference. Winning the Pac-12 isn't all that hard, and anyone could win the Pac-12 tourney.
I think I've said enough as to why they could be a bubble team. But again I'll repeat: size/talent/they're deep/not exactly a powerhouse conference. They came back on Kansas which was encouraging.
The worse thing for them was to be pegged to win the conference. They really aren't good enough to be getting big headed and that's exactly what happened. They are not putting the necessary effort in on either side of the floor. With that said, compared to the conference their roster stacks up against any other Pac-12 school.Comment
