This looks like it is going to be upset Saturday. 3 ranked teams have already lost and #7 Michigan State is trailing Northwestern by 9 with 6 minutes to go.

#13 Michigan loses 75-59 at Iowa
#3 UNC loses 90-57 at Florida State
#18 Kansas State loses 82-73 at Oklahoma

And Minnesota beating Indiana, Illinois beating Ohio St. Although those weren't today, but I guess we can call it upset week.

Really, really impressed with what Steve Fisher has done with San Diego Statr this year. They lost a ton from last year and it looks like they will be right near the top of the MWC.

And now for some small-conference recapping. Morehead State got a huge 57-54 victory over Eastern Kentucky behind Drew Kelly's career-high 26 points. We're going to need him to step up, as we also learned that senior Terrence Hill, our leading scorer, is done for the year after suffering a knee injury in our victory over Austin Peay.

Kind of cool being a member of the video production crew for MSU. Get lots of access.

ACC, you have been warned. Karl Hess will call this a Flagrant 1.

I don't know what's funnier. The obvious flop by Clemson or that Dawkins is just standing there holding his face while that is taking place.

I too am impressed with Fisher's success at San Diego State. I wonder though: what's going to happen at San Diego State when they start up in the Big West? I feel for their Basketball diehards. I wonder why they didn't join the West Coast, it's a much better bet to maintain their talent levels in that conference with Gonzaga's & St. Mary's success in recent years.

                        Not a religious school.

Anyways, in terms of big west movement. Fisher thinks it will be better for us. First off, it gets us off the terrible and stupid MWC network, which if you don't own or know about it, its terrible as a fan. We will now get even more exposure going to be on ESPN and Fox Sports etc. Secondly, the move to football has guaranteed us OOC games vs Big East schools in Basketball. Besides, people don't commit to schools for who they play (most of the time). The come to Viejas, take in the arena and atmosphere and fall in love. Plus its almost an auto bid to the tournament every year being in the Big West.

Plus the Big West has agreed to only a 14 game schedule so we can have more OOC games to beefen the schedule and RPI etc
