Yeah, firing Boeheim, smart move.

I love him, but I just don't understand how you coach a 2-3 zone for 30+ years and have NO IDEA HOW TO BEAT A ZONE. AT ALL. We haven't attempted to run an offense. Our freshman PG is as big as their center. We haven't posted up a single time. The only two guys on our team that ever look inside are Scoop and Carter-Williams. We don't give Carter-Williams a single second of playing time. We're 1085120835825 times longer and more athletic than UNCA. We don't attempt to run the press that forces turnovers almost every single possession. Our biggest weakness besides rebounding is that we don't shoot the ball well. So let's leave Christmas inside and then have our other 4 guys all just hover around the permeter and pass it a couple times before we jack up a contested 3. No cutters. Nobody flashing to the free throw line. Christmas is finally trying to post up but nobody will even look inside even when he has a seal. How can you possibly be so embarassingly unprepared?

Looks like things may have changed now. UNCA up 4 at the half.

I won't hold my breath yet though. I have seen 16's up over 1's in the second half only for it to fall apart in the end...

I love Long Beach's uniforms. They're really unique in the fact that they say The Beach. They may be the only school that can pull off putting the school's nickname on their uniform.

Every advanced CBB power rating system that I am aware of had Syracuse in the #2 seed range rather than as one of the two best teams in the country.

They won alot of close games.

I'm not a big fan of point differential in basketball as a measure of success. I'll take 10 close wins over 9 blowouts and a loss. (everything else equal)

Personal opinion, really. But having many wins in a tough conference translates well into a tournament in which teams always play tough opponents.
