Miami is much improved. FSU might be the most overrated team out there.

Alex Len is a stud. Looks like a pro.

But Maryland is missing something from their guard play. Someone out there to make them more cohesive.

I like their big forwards but I still think they'll struggle scoring this year.

Future looks bright though. Most entertaining game of the night by far.

Obviously you dont know that he's projected as a lottery pick.

MD is far from a scrub team. They will be 4th or 5th in the ACC this year.

Trust me I know go look at Brandon Knight when we played UConn the first time yuck.By the time SEC rolled around no one could touch him same with Teague.

By SEC I'll see how your feeling about Harrow
Wait, since when could nobody touch Marquis Teague? He was a disappointment last year besides a few good games here and there. And there's definitely far more difficult roles than being the PG for Kentucky.

            Exactly.

And let's not act like Harrow didn't spend a full year practicing against a starting lineup of players who went pro.

Sick or not, he looked like it was his first time on a court. He had absolutely no poise.

Just one game but we'll see how it plays out.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing Goodwin bringing the ball up eventually.

Goodwin will be bringing the ball up some, he is being groomed as the backup. But Harrow is the PG for this team and will continue to be throughout the year. No one claims he is on the level of Cal's last 5 pg's but let's not act like playing with a completely different group of guys (even with practicing all year last year) plus having 102 degree fever wouldn't knock him off his game. Not to mention he hasn't been in a "real" game in over a year. Knight and Teague both started off poorly and I would say it worked out pretty well for both of them. He is going to be fine.

How many PG's has Calipari had?

The only ones I remember are:

                Rose
                Tyreke
                Wall
                Knight
                Teague

Good lord this is like watching a high school game.
We had 12 turnovers last night. I'd say that's not bad for the first game of the season, especially considering we trotted out a brand new team and our PG had the flu.

Extremely hard for me to see/recognize these Cuse and SDSU players with this glaring sunshine.

Today in the Florida/Alabama St game the score at the half...47-9. 2nd half was much closer, but man, what a beat down.

I'm disappointed with the loss but I knew it would happen. We're a guard heavy team that needs to shoot, combine that with the 2-3 zone and outside and wind I knew we wouldn't shoot good, didn't expect it to be this bad though. I know Cuse is big and pound it inside so the wind and elements don't effect them as much as it would us.

I don't think this game should be used to evaluate either team honestly.
