    12/3 - 12/9 Game Discussion Thread

Was kind of excited to watch the Gophers play Nate Wolters and South Dakota State tonight, I was thinking of going to the game. But now it sounds like he's not playing, apparently rolled his ankle in practice yesterday.

The kid is one of the best mid-major players, if not one of the better players in College Basketball.

We got Texas v s #15 Georgetown and UCONN vs #25 NC State. They are not the biggest match ups in the history of the Jimmy V Classic but they are good enough for me. Oh yeah Michigan is at home against Western Michigan.

I dont think there is a more underachieving program than Texas basketball.

I agree, problem is no one gives a crap about BBall at Texas. Last 4 season have all come up short as a result of recruiting players that go pro after 1-2 years and not developing those that are lower ranked. Last two years most of our teams are all freshman. This season 7 freshman 5 soph, 2 senior walkons.

Yep, bummer he's not playing -- I was kinda excited to go see him play in person.

Pretty good game between UConn and NC State. UConn came out hot from 3 and led most of the way but NC State hit a buzzer beater to go up 1 at the half.

Not the best game for Hardaway and Robinson tonight. But Trey Burke was on. So many weapons on this team.

So after beating UK at UK, Baylor lost at home to
Northwestern who was picked 10th in the big 10? The same NW team that lost to UIC at home?

Good win for NC State after a hard fought game. Richard Howell is such a beast.

Liked the fight from UConn, NC State just way too much inside. Right now UConn is Shabazz, Boatright, and nothing else.

                              We're a mid-major team, it's brutal.

Daniels clearly isn't making the frosh-to-soph jump. Calhoun isn't nearly as ready as some thought. Olander should be a 4th big off the bench but he's being forced into a role he isn't nearly good enough for.

It's going to be a very long season, at some point we're going to hit a major wall where the team will basically give up. I'll be amazed if Ollie doesn't lose the locker room at some point - I think the frustration will just be too great.

Olander, Nolan, Calhoun, Daniels are all shooting under 40% on the year and Boatright is close. We don't have a hole lot of talent these days...
