    Re: 1/28-2/3 Game Discussion Thread

That was a heavyweight battle between 2 great teams. It was a pleasure to watch even though I obviously got more enjoyment out of it as an IU fan. I expect the game between IU/UM at the end of the season to be for a Big Ten title. Unfortunately for IU it's at Michigan and that gives Michigan the edge.

It's also nice to see after the last couple weeks Victor Oladipo getting the national respect he deserves. Came to IU as a little known recruit barely ranked in the top 150. Always has been a 5 star athlete, but through hard work has transformed himself from a 3 star basketball player into a 5 star basketball player to go along with his freakish athleticism. Never thought coming into the season Zeller would be challenged as IU best player, but Oladipo may be IU's best player. Or at least Oladipo may be IU's most important player.

They got the foul right. The continuation was a terrible call though.

He was hacked before he traveled so it was even call

It just goes to show rankings aren't an exact science at all. Trey Burke was only ranked in the top 100 and now in his second season is a NPOY frontrunner. While guys like Jelan Kendrick was a top 15 prospect and 5 star McDonald's All American recruit has been a bust and now at his 3rd college.

Good Win, but that was an absurdly bad call. Jump ball or Travel there.

Agreed with all of this. Oladipo is incredibly fun to watch and it's been fun to see his transformation. He's truly one of the best players in the country right now.

Good game to Michigan. Can't say tonights results really changed anything. IU might reclaim the top spot, but being #1 in February doesn't mean a damn thing. Fortunately for us, there's actually a tournament in this sport. I expect IU to lose at Michigan and hopefully we'll see a 3rd game in the conference tourney.

The UNI Panthers take down Wichita St. by 5. Huge win for them. Hopefully this provides some momentum for the rest of conference play.

We shall see. Obviously IU is a good team so a win isn't a given, even with the advantage home court gives.

At this point Michigan only has two more opportunities to establish themselves on the road: Wisconsin and Michigan State. I still think whoever is able to beat the other teams on the road is the team that will win the conference.
