Here's the video of the Noel injury. Looks absolutely terrible to me, but we can hope that it isn't as bad as it looks.

That is the best I have seen Payne play for Michigan State."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Dang State looks tough and Michigan finally looking like the young, inexperienced club they are.
And the Florida boys took it to UK always nice to see that. Hate seeing Noel go down like that. Loved his motor and hustle. If he's done for the year Kentucky is done.Comment

Sparty On, my brothers!!!
I don't believe in "statement" games, but that was a good, solid, "the B1G title is still going through East Lansing" win. Having said that, I don't think the game was a "must-win" for either team tonight. It was more of a "would-be-nice-to-win" for both teams. UM is coming off a brutal stretch, and MSU is headed into one to end the regular season. The conference winner is going to have 4-5 losses for sure, so no one's out of it yet. Well, maybe Penn State...Comment

At least that gauntlet is over. We'll see what Michigan is made of now.

Tonight went pretty much how I expected it to. Maybe a bit more embarrassing, but more or less the same. Young team coming off a brutal loss going into a hornets' nest against their archrival. Recipe for disaster. Would it have killed the Big Ten schedulers to throw in one of the Penn State games in between this four game woodchipper? JFC.Comment

Ugh what a frustrating night, Of all players, and I don't wish it was anyone else, but really Noel? Just sucks, that's life. Florida was better anyway, but wow, so depressing.Comment

That's definitely a torn ACL for Noel. Don't know if it's been confirmed yet.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

Sad to see a awesome rivalry end tonight, hopefully SU and UCONN meet up in the BET. I was too young to remember the SU/GTOWN rivalry at its peak(I do remember my dad pointing at John Thompson and saying he was the devil), but the SU/UCONN was always the most intense. When ever these two meet up in the BET it just feels like a heavyweight title fight.
It has lost some luster with UCONN slumping and no Calhoun but you know UCONN will absolutely give the Cuse all they can handle. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: 2/11-2/17 Game Thread Discussion
Looking at things, Noel's injury looks more like a possible leg fracture than a ligament/tendon - it looked to me like it was due to the impact with the basket support. Either way, I hope he's okay. Seems like a good kid that plays hard.
If the Spartans can stay healthy (which is a BIG "if"), look out in the NCAA tournament...Comment

X-rays from last night were negative on Noel. He was having a MRI done this morning. No word yet on the results.Comment

Noel is the only player it could of been because nobody else on the team hustles.. Poythress is too busy being Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh and Goodwin is too busy throwing backwards shots at the shot clock and driving into 3 guysLast edited by DakkoN; 02-13-2013, 03:23 PM.Comment
