Cal-Berk is also an incredible school with incredible weather. Meanwhile, at UK, there's probably even more uncertainty about his playing time and the team's success. Plus the chance that if he stays multiple years Calipari will bring in top-10 big men to further reduce his minutes.
His pop played football at Purdue and he's from Indiana, so there are at least 2 reasons he'd want to go there. Cal is far from home, and much as we think it'd be cool to go to school somewhere like that, a lot of times these kids want to stay closer to friends/family.

As far as I'm concerned, if he is/was going to be a 1-and-done anyway, maybe MSU wasn't the right place for him to begin with. Not that I wouldn't love to have had him, but traditionally those types of kids don't go to MSU for whatever reason.

Cal seems like the best fit. There would most assuredly be room for him at at kentucky, Our frontcourt is our weakest asset this year, especially if Skal isn't eligible.

I can't wait to see what Lee will do in a larger role, it's his time to shine, but more frontcourt depth is a must too many question marks.

That's pretty much the book on him, He's a good weak side blocker, but he's pretty raw, of course he never had a chance to really showcase his potential. I can add he has great instincts around the rim, if you don't box him out or watch him, he'll come flying in for putbacks.

He's a big ? for me right now, he's been under some great tutelage though, I'm sure he's soaked in quite a few things from Willie, and we will see.

Don't think this has been posted. But Louisville Commit Donovan Mitchell threw down a nasty dunk earlier this week.

Kentucky offers Legerald Vick and rumors swirling about Cal going hard after Swanigan, which if true, greatly delights me.

Because he would be a huge get. We'd have significant depth at every position.

Highly sought after Michigan St decommit, has chosen Purdue over Kentucky, an interesting choice, I hope he can flourish there, he'll definitely have his opportunity.

Kentucky reportedly setting their sights on Jamal Murray, He's on a official visit to Lexington right now.

Well, hope he got what he wanted. Obviously sucks for the Spartans, but we'll be fine long-term. MSU has never been the type of program that does well with 1-and-done types; Izzo's most successful squads are built from guys that come in and buy into the system for 4 years and get better every year. Of course you have to have great players, and it helps to have the most talented guys, but MSU just doesn't get enough of those guys to sustain that kind of system. Longer term, I think the 1-and-done types hurt a program like MSU more than help. Not saying that Swanigan is necessarily a guaranteed 1-off guy, but whatever his reasons are for bailing...see ya' in the funny pages.

Pretty sure it wasn't posted: St. John's gets 4star LovettJr from Chicago. Super quick, flashy lefty with a solid handle and range. Questionable shot selection, decision making, and off ball defense.

St John's probably needed Lovett pretty badly considering Rysheed Jordan may not be eligible this year and I've heard rumors he'll most likely leave if ruled ineligible. Would be a massive let down for SJ as a combo of Jordan/Obekpa with Lovett would have given them a hope at the tourney.

Also - Vick to Kansas. Should see some minutes this year and become a bigtime scorer when Mason/Selden are gone if he's still there.

PG/SG Jamal Murray (5 or 4 star depending on what site you use) reclassifies to 2015. Elgin Cook (Oregon Senior) tweeted today that Murray committed to Oregon. Official decision tomorrow at 9 PM EST.

SF Maverick Rowan (ESPN #30) reclassifies to 2015 as well. UofL believed to be favorites, although V.J. King signing might push him to St. John's.

Ulis, Briscoe, Matthews, Mulder....definitely had a big part in the decision. On that same note though, Oregon has Dylan Ennis, Benson, and two top-100 guards coming in. But much easier to break in on that than against what UK has. Murray is probably one-and-done if he has a good season.
