    Re: 1/6-1/12 Game Thread Discussion

    Recap of last night:
Kansas won on the road at Oklahoma. UConn and UMass survived upset bids to Harvard and St Joe's. Georgia pulled off an upset at Missouri in overtime and Colorado survived a near upset at Washington State in overtime. Georgetown got crushed at Providence.

Miami beat North Carolina to continue to show UNC inconsistency. Wisconsin won by 25 at home vs Illinois, San Diego State beat Boise State at home and Oklahoma State pulled away in the 2nd half against Texas, who has been much better than a lot of people thought they would be this year.

I'm surprised that Wisconsin has been this good this year, they scored 95 points in a game. They don't play another ranked team until February but they do go to Indiana next week, I wonder if they will still be undefeated come February.

    Games to watch tonight:

Memphis goes to Louisville, 7PM ET, ESPN.
Arizona goes to UCLA and hopes to preserve their undefeated season, 9ET, ESPN.
California travels to Oregon in hopes of getting a signature win for their NCAA tournament hopes, 11PM ET, Fox Sports 1.

I will be interested to watch Arizona because I haven't watched them in about a month or so and also to see if Bill Walton is announcing the game and goes off about Ben Howland again.

Louisville can't buy a win this year over a top 25 team. Memphis looked solid right after getting stomped at home against UC.

Arizona built up a 13 point lead in the 2nd half, blew it, then turned it on just enough at the end to get to 16-0. Arizona was a little lazy with the ball on more than one occasion. It's not the last time they will see a zone defense this season. The mental lapses in the 2nd half have to be concerning to Sean Miller.

              Oregon doesn't believe in defending.

They don`t play a lick of defense. Nice 2-0 start in the PAC12 for CAL with both wins being on the road. Mike Montgomery is such good coach, that is often overlooked.

                  I`m taking a page from phenom1990 today.

                  Recap of last night:
Nothing of note from yesterday. There were only 7 games in Division 1 last night. ESPNU had 2 games on but neither were close or entertaining.

                  Games to watch today:

There should be some upsets in College Basketball today. 10 teams from the top 25 are on the road today. It`s never easy to win on the road in conference play. There is only 1 game involving top 25 teams today with #25 Kansas State at #18 Kansas on ESPN at 2:00 pm est.

Most likely to get upset today are:

#8 Villanova at Saint John`s on Fox Sport 1 at 1:00 pm est.
#9 Iowa State at Oklahoma on ESPNU at 12:00 pm est.
#10 Florida at Arkansas on ESPN2 at 1:00 pm est.

All 3 home teams could use some resume wins since all 3 should be bubble teams come March.

And then there were 4. Iowa State is going down @ Oklahoma barring a miracle.

Gophers leading at Michigan St. after the first half. Might check them out, haven't watched them all season. But apparently they are more fun to watch under Pitino than they were under Tubby.

Wilbekin just banked a shot with 2 seconds left to send the Florida-Arkansas game to OT. Clutch play.

                                OT?! Holy crap!

2 very crucial missed free throws for MSU at the end there.
