They've been injured throughout this whole season. I know injuries happen and blah blah but it's difficult to win when 3 of your starters are out of multiple games. And I know if Nebraska was a good team and they started losing because your starters were injured, you would be saying the same thing. And don't say "No, no excuses. We would find ways to win with other players." Doesn't always work that way. I know Michigan fans are making excuses because McGary is injured, but that's 1 guy. Try having 3 guys out. Payne and Dawson have missed weeks on top of weeks. Dawson averages 11 points, 8 rebounds, many of them offensive rebounds. Payne averages 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists a game. Key players injured for weeks. Then Appling has been playing with a injured right wrist. He was an 80% free throw shooter, since his bothered wrist, he's shooting in the 60% range. He even admits he doesn't know where the ball is gonna go when he shoots because his shooting motion is off. 3 key guys injured, that's more than half the offense. You try winning games, doesn't matter how great the conference is when half of your offense is missing games.

Actually we're not, that's a delusion you've created in your own mind to try and justify the endless parade of tears Izzo unleashes anytime there's a camera in his face as he weeps for his team of martyrs. McGary got hurt, it sucked, and he's gone. Michigan fans have not spent any time crying about that after each loss like MSU fans (and MSU's coach) does after every loss.Comment

Actually I'm hearing Michigan fans making those excuses all the time. Maybe you're not and maybe you don't hear them, but I sure do. Why doesn't Michigan have an inside game? "McGary's hurt, that's why." Everytime they lose I hear it from them. Not sure where you're getting that Izzo makes excuses for his team. I've seen them win in a dominate fashion and he still has something his team needs to work on. There's a reason why Izzo is a hall of fame coach and weeping to the media is not the reason. It's because he wins games and finds ways to make a great team out of college players, not NBA playersActually we're not, that's a delusion you've created in your own mind to try and justify the endless parade of tears Izzo unleashes anytime there's a camera in his face as he weeps for his team of martyrs. There's a difference between crying and telling actual facts. It's a fact that MSU is banged up this year and many people are quite shocked at how well they're doing with all the injuries. Michigan on the other hand has only lost Mitch. They have no excuses for Stauskas playing sloppy and Robinson being inconsistent. I don't know if you saw but MSU was pretty dominating when they were healthyFavorite Teams:

Not after you mention it after each game. And Also everyone looks pretty dominating during a non conference schedule.Wolverines Packers Cubs Celtics

It's gotta be a frustrating season for both teams from Michigan. Too many injuries. Both would probably be Top 5 teams if they were healthy."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

There are more fans out there than on OS.
MSU yes, MSU is 5-2 without Payne, 3-4 without Dawson, 2-1 without Appling. 14-1 before Payne went down. It's really hard as a coach to get a set lineup when all your starters are dropping like flies.
Michigan on the other hand, many of their losses came when Mitch was playing. But Michigan did have a tough non-conference schedule. However, they should know how to play without him by now. The thing is if Stauskas has an off game and Robinson doesn't hit shots, their offense gets shut down. They have no inside game. Morgan is a non factor. I think if Michigan had the same amount of injuries MSU had over the season, I'm thinking they would be even worse. Michigan would be a top 15 team if McGary was playingFavorite Teams:

A few days late (been on vacation), but man, that UF/UK game was a great game. I literally jumped up and fist pumped when Frazier hit that huge 3 to go up 5 late in the game…
I know the technical foul has been brought up, but from the point the game was 31-23 UK the Gators outscored the 'Cats 46-28. It was more than a technical…that was a clinic on not panicking and executing down the stretch.
Really enjoying watching this team play right now."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

It was a turning point for sure, but good teams take advantage of their breaks, and Florida did. Seemed like everything just snowballed there at the end for Kentucky, and I was pretty angry after the loss, but I got to thinking about it, we gave Florida all they could handle, this team is pretty close to getting where they need to be.A few days late (been on vacation), but man, that UF/UK game was a great game. That being said Florida and Syracuse are for me the undisputed no 1 and no 2 teams in the land, either one could be No 1.Comment
