    Re: 2014 Selection Sunday Thread

NC State has no business being in this tournament. SMU should be in their place. That's the only issue I see with this bracket as far as selections.

Seeding...not shocked by Louisville being a #4. Expected Villanova to be the final #1 seed. Had Virginia as a #2 seed. Kentucky should be a #6, but that's splitting hairs.

Every single panelist on ESPN's Bracketology chose Michigan State to win the national title.

They're a tough team. Before all those injuries, they went 18-1. They beat up a pretty good Texas team on the road and Oklahoma during a tournament. They also played a very good 1st half against Kentucky and Wisconsin. I believe if Dawson played both games against Michigan, I believe they would've won both games. It's shocking that they set a school record for 3's this year and this is Izzo's best team with fewest turnovers. And you've seen the squads he had back in the day. They have the best shot with the bracket they're in but I believe their toughest matchup will be against Cincy just because of how physical they are

I wouldn't worry about Cincy. They'll be lucky to crack 40 points against you.

If we can get past Iowa, I can see us making a run. But I can easily see us losing to Iowa.
I have the same thinking for Iowa. They can make a run if they get past Tennessee, but also could lose.

I do think whoever wins that game beats UMass. Duke isn't even the same Duke they've been in the past. This bracket is set up fairly well for a play in to advance.

Of course, you all [Iowa] have to find a way to get off this 1-6 run you've been on.
