True, but they are also a team that was very, very close to losing to a Wisconsin team that is IMO a pretty clear step below both UConn and Florida.

I don't think there's a single aspect of the game that Wisconsin does better than UConn at this point in time and the game was there for the taking for Wisky.

Yeah - small, quick guards have been our issue all year. Louisville had them, SMU had them. Michigan State and Florida had them and they both did a tremendous job defensively against us but we were still able to get a win thanks to other guys stepping up.

Side note - it's crazy that our closest game of the tournament was against St. Joe's.

You know as well as I do that UK barely bearing Wisconsin doesn't mean a thing. It's March Madness and the only thing that matters is the W. I mean, do you honestly think Mercer is better than Duke? It's survive and advance and at this point, uconn and UK are the last ones standing.

Like I said, I think it is going to be a good game. But I'm not crazy enough to think we have this in the bag.

One of the most fun games I've ever attended in my life. Aaron Harrison, good grief. Looking forward to the game on Monday. Both teams are playing their best basketball of the year. It should be a great Championship game.

True, but after watching UK's "huge front court advantage" that was supposed to destroy Michigan (overmatched with just Jordan Morgan) and then destroy Wisconsin (overmatched with just Kaminsky) inside I'm just not worried about it. I don't think it's going to be nearly the factor people are making it out to be, it hasn't been thus far this tournament. Teams can clearly deal with that disadvantage and still compete with UK.

I'm far more concerned about how refs will call the block/charges given UK's propensity to blindly barrel into the lane time after time.

So if you aren't concerned with the players we have but only how the refs call the game, are you saying that if UK wins it is because of the refs? Not trying to put words in your mouth, clearly asking for clarification.

As a sports fan, you'd be hard pressed to find a better sports year for magical late season runs than UK BBall and AU FBall this year. Unreal endings multiple times for both teams in critical situations. This is why I love sports.

UConn getting blown out by Louisville by 33 was clearly the refs.

I don't think that's a fair statement and certainly not what he said. Florida blew UK out by 19 in Gainesville...does that mean UK has no chance on Monday? No, UK is a different team now...so is UConn. BTW - what he said is true...if the refs call the game tight and let UK drive and go to the line, it is most certainly to UK's advantage.

I expect to see a lot more of Dominique Hawkins than usual. He did a good job defensively on Stauskus in the second half of the Michigan game, and I think he could do that here against Shabazz/Boatright as well. DeAndre Daniels is the X-factor. If he keeps playing like he has through the tournament, UConn will be in really good shape, if he struggles or is in foul trouble I think UK will have an even bigger edge inside.

I can't wait to watch our swarming D and guards on the Harrison's. I can't wait to see our quickness try to negate Randle. I expect more than a few charges. Defensively Kentucky's guards are a step below Florida's and Michigan State's. They have size, they don't have quickness. Bazz will have more room to operate and score than he's had in a while. We'll be able to get into the lane and WCS won't be there to protect the rim. I also don't think UK will be able to shutdown our PnR game like Florida did. Our gang-rebounding has gotten us this far and it'll be more difficult against UK but I don't think we'll be at a big enough of a disadvantage there.

I'm sure James Young will have a big game because we'll be packing the paint but that's okay. We'll live with that.

Florida beat UK three times. At this point we're basically Florida's defense with more skilled offensive players.

No, not at all. Just meant that it's more of an unknown that will play a big role. Of course the players will have the biggest impact.

I've watched every single UK post season game and probably 15-18 of their games this year. I'm not going to be surprised.
