Bad timing for UCLA
I'm sure most of us saw this coming but the timing can't be good for them when they are about to play UCLA:
Shabazz Muhammed's father may cause NCAA to vacate wins from UCLA
Holmes arranged for a loan in anticipation of his son’s future NBA earnings and agreed to receive as much as $300,000 a year once Muhammad went pro, according to a memo filed by Daniel R. Schiess, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada.#WeAreUKTags: None -
Re: Bad timing for UCLA
Now a former agent is saying he paid Honeycutt around $56k in hopes of landing him when he was drafted in 2011 but got spurned.
Leaving the sports-representation business behind, Lookofsky is now opening up for the first time about his alleged three-year financial relationship with Honeycutt and his family in hopes of revealing the inner workings of the agency-recruiting business that he says is "just not kosher."#WeAreUK -

Re: Bad timing for UCLA
I hate the idea of vacating wins, it's so pointless and stupid. I guess Shabazz never played at UCLA and that year just never happened, just like Cal's Memphis team it never ever happened, Kansas just played some unnamed team in the championship.Comment

Re: Bad timing for UCLA
Shabazz was literally trouble from the moment he stepped on UCLA's campus, and if anything results from this, UCLA will end up vacating wins from a completely forgettable season that got their coach fired.
Meh.I write things on the Internet.

Re: Bad timing for UCLA
Plenty of people care about basketball at the nation's premier basketball university; however, I'm not sure how much interest you think this story deserves.

Re: Bad timing for UCLA
I'm sorry but A) there is another storiy in this thread besides Shabazz. B) This is a forum with some very intelligent college basketball fans so I would think it might get some traction. C) "nation's premier basketball university"? Really? Because UCLA won a crap load of championships in the 60's and 70's with Uncle Sam to help and 1 in 1995 that makes them the nation's premier basketball university? Really? That's freaking funny.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment
