    I thought OU was over-seeded.

I'd have had Miami, Temple, Colorado State, and Murray State in instead of Texas, Indiana, Ole Miss, and UCLA.

I also don't like Georgia or Oklahoma State getting in but I don't know who I'd replace them with, so whatever. The bubble was pretty weak this year, so it doesn't matter much to me.

Yeah but Duke also lost to Miami bad at home and lost to NC State and neither were ranked, Virginia hasn't lost to anybody out of the top 18 and went out the same time in the ACC tourney but Virginia won the regular season title.

Just hard for me to see Duke being a #1 seed over Virginia, if Duke is one then I think Virginia should at least be another

In that scenario do you replace Villanova? I certainly can't make an argument against Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Just think Virginia should be #1 over Duke really....plus add their best player was out the last part of the season. I'll also admit that I can't stand Duke so that's probably influencing my decision heh

Virginia's best non-conference win was at Maryland.

Duke beat Wisconsin on the road, Michigan State and Temple on neutral site courts (Temple should be in tourney)

Plus Duke beat Virginia at Virginia.

Dayton is the team that would have been bumped if Connecticut won today. Baffling.

                      Re: Selection Sunday Thread

According to my dad - don't know if this is correct - Duke is the first team in history to not win a regular-season conference title or a tournament conference title to earn a one-seed.

That said, speaking as a Virginia fan - I think they got it right. Virginia faded a tad bit down the stretch once Justin Anderson got hurt and subsequently after recovering from the injury was dealt with appendicitis. Had UVA beaten UNC and gotten to the ACC tournament final, I think they'd have been pushed over Duke, but really for the past month or so Duke has been the better team.

I don't really even care about the head-to-head result, both UVA and Duke are very very good teams.

On top of that, as UVA I'd rather be a 2 in the east than a 1 in the west.

Glad for Alford, I idolized him growing up, but I didn't think UCLA deserved to be in. Not sure IU really deserved it either. If IU is hot shooting they could win against Wichita St, but I think Shockers beat them.

Purdue really got a raw deal having to play Kentucky in the 2nd rd if they beat Cincinnati. Although Purdie does have the size and a physical D that could give Kentucky some trouble, although I doubt much, but Purdue cant score enough Im afraid to have much of a shot against Kentucky. Plus you pressure Purdue they will turn it over. I do think they beat the Bearcats.

Maryland better not overlook Valpo, or they could be in for a fight. Valpo D is good, and they can shoot. Free Throws are a weakness of Valpo though, they were 2n worst in the Horizon league in FT shooting. Id say in my lifetime anyway this is the most athletic and best defensive team I think Valpo has ever had. If thye play like they are capable of they can hang with Maryland.

Half of these seeds look like they were either drawn out of a hat or decided in December. Teams that are 4 seeds could have been 6 or 7. I was shocked with ND at a 3, I thought they deserved a 2 with their resume. Duke shouldn't have been a #1, but that's because I think you should have to win your conference or conference tourney to get a #1. Indiana and UCLA shouldn't have made it. Colorado STate was robbed.

2009 UConn didn't win the regular season (finished behind L'Ville and Pitt) or the BET (6 OT game vs Cuse) and got the 1-seed out West.
