Coastal Carolina was the best 16 this year and would have had a decent shot at beating Villanova. The committee saw this and gave them a trash team in Lafayette to keep it from happening.


When a 16 seed does beat a 1 seed, it'll likely be a team like Coastal beating a 1 seed that got the final 1 by default and is overrated.

Duke and San Diego State could be interesting Sunday. The Aztecs are athletic enough and have enough height to match up against Duke. I just don`t know if they can score enough.

You guys think we'll ever see a 16-over-1 upset??

Was playing DDS:CB2 last night and South Carolina made it in as a 16 seed in 2030, so guess if something like that ever happened in real life then maybe haha (they were 13-16 or something, I was incredibly confused when saw they were a 16, and had to play in Dayton first).

But have to think it will happen at some point, few teams have come close. Maybe if there ends up a field even heavier in power 5 schools then this one, it might push a normally 13 or 14 seed into a 16 and increase the chances. Not much of an expert admittedly, just kind of guessing =p.

Dude, I have not seen a game so far where I can say that the officials have done a good job. This is pathetic, at times it has felt like they are point shaving.

Glad I'm not alone in thinking this is one of the worst officiated tournaments ever so far. It's just been bad.
