I am still shocked that Tulsa made it."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

I thought they did a poor job last year with some of their selections but Tulsa the biggest head scratcher I've seen in a long time."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: 2016 Selection Sunday Thread
The tournament is always a crapshoot. That said, over the course of the season Virginia secured victories over North Carolina (2nd overall seed), Villanova (7th), West Virginia (9th), Miami (10th), California (14th), Notre Dame (22nd), Pittsburgh (37th), and Syracuse (39th). Not to mention two wins over Louisville as well, and they would have made the tournament if not for off-court issues.
I'll put the Cavaliers' tournament resumé and their ability to win games on any floor up against anyone, and I'm happy to see that we got to the #1 line this year (and they deserved it last year too, glad to see the committee get something right for a change). Not sure if they'll win it, but they're gonna be a tough out.

Re: 2016 Selection Sunday Thread
This might be the strongest crop of mid-single-digit seeds I've seen in a while. Out of the 4-5 teams, there isn't a team that you look at and say, "Yep, they're done for."
That being said, I really think that UNI can take Texas. We take care of the ball very well, and have the guards to keep up with Taylor, Felix, Roach, et. al., especially on D. The only issue I see is Texas' overall size. They've got five bigs 6'9" or taller, three of which play a fairly big role. We have one big at 6'9" who plays, after that, it's down to a 6'7" forward. (Carlson, who's a nice player, but still.) But, overall, I'd say we've got a good shot at advancing to face A&M (or GB, I guess.) We'll see. Should be a fun tournament!MLB: Minnesota Twins
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes
