Same old ****. Guess we can't guard Jalen Wilson. This teams offense is garbage. Can't match them when they punch back. Not getting invested unless this team wins the sec tourney. Got punked on our own floor again.

I don't know how much of a solution there is for this team. We have too many weaknesses and I'm not sure if we have the plugs to fill the holes. Oscar has so much trouble defending the pick and roll but we have to play him. He's such a good rebounder that it's worth the sacrifice. It is what it is but you can't play Ware and Oscar or Onyenso and Oscar. I don't know how we get better at defending the pick and roll unless Oscar just gets better at it.

Frederick has trouble shooting against tough competition and I don't know if it's a mental thing or it's just our offense isn't running in a way that he can reach his full potential as a shooter, but it certainly seems like he's getting a lot of open shots and he's missing them.

I'm wondering how a lineup of Wallace, Reeves, Toppin, Livingston, and Oscar would go. I feel like Wallace and Reeves are our best offensive threats but how well would that lineup do defensively? And you can't play all those guys for 40 minutes. If they need a breather, we have Wheeler, Frederick, Ware, Onyenso, and Thiero. Wheeler doesn't add enough if he's playing with non-shooters and this team actually seems to be full of them and if Frederick keeps struggling where and when can you put those guys in.

I think this is a good team but not a great team. There are some great pieces and there are stretches where they can roll but too often we're forced to play lineups that just don't click.

Yea you pretty much nailed it. I wanna go on a long tangent but I'm not going too. It's simple what's wrong with this team, and unfortunately it can't be fixed.

            1. This is a offensively challenged team. The offense has improved, but this team goes through droughts. And just doesn't have enough hitters. It's incredible how many wide open threes this team misses.

            2. The free throw shooting is pathetic. Probably lost 2 or 3 games on this alone. Those are huge pts this team leaves out there. The Kansas game for ex.. we shot 23 fts and hit 16-23. So that's a killer.

            3. This is the worst one imo. This team has absolutely 0 depth. Oscar can't can't catch a breather. Ware is just a waste of a scholarship. Thiero and Ugonna need minutes. Because right now there's no spark off that bench but Reeves. This is where Hopkins could have been a difference maker. But nope Cal thought he wasn't good enough smfh.

I have little hopes for this team. Cal ****ing sucks at developing players now. Looks like another wasted year to me. We aren't the gold standard anymore and it's killing me. My love for UK basketball is really becoming apathy.

Kansas the most winningest program in college basketball history. Makes me sick to my stomach.

This is my blessing and curse coming out. Because I bleed blue. But the one silver lining is. The next 5 games are all winnable. If they could pull off 5 in a row and then we get Tennesee coming into Rupp. You have a chance to flip the season to a degree.

Can they do it. Probably not. But they better if they want to get into the tourney.

Yea, free throws are definitely an issue but there have been stretches where FTs aren't a problem. They may have gone 4-11 in the first half (and you CAN'T do that), but that also means they went 12-12 in the second half.

I like Ware for his intensity but he's the worst free throw shooter I've ever seen.

Yea they are streaky. But who feels confident going in to March with Oscar, Toppin, Cason, Sahvir at the line for a big ft. Because I don't. Not to mention it gives life to other teams when they miss them.

We don't lose to South Carolina if we close it down at the line. That's one that sticks out. Now against Tennesee we thrived at the line weirdly.

But when you have games decided by a few pts. Fts really matter. We beat South Carolina and Michigan St if we knock those down. Two of our worst losses are wins. That still doesn't make us a great team. But knocking open shots and fts goes a long way.

I can't even knock Calipari for once for the spacing. Because it's been good. Guys have gotten good looks. I can knock him for stupid rotations and his obsession with Sahvir. But ultimately these guys are shooting themselves in the foot.

C.J can't hit wide open threes and it's ****ing killing us.

The South Carolina loss bothers me more than anything this season. It's such a bad loss. We were 7-14 in that game from the Free Throw line, that win alone would keep us off the bubble but it didn't happen. I don't think we could have beaten Gonzaga or Alabama but even the UCLA game we shot like 36% from the FT line and those can definitely swing momentum, as you said. It's so frustrating, we could be looking at a 5 seed right now and instead we're on the bubble.

Yea exactly. And those just shouldn't of gotten away. Gonzaga mizzou and Bama we didn't have a chance. Could of won the other 4.

Kansas played us tough. But it was winnable too. But the offense just couldn't throw enough punches despite shooting pretty well.

And I don't get what's wrong with CJ Fredrick. The dude was one of the best three-point shooters percentage-wise at Iowa. He comes here and he can't even knock down wide-open shots.
