Clark is a dog and she's officially on Steph's level where you think every three she throws up is going in.

I loved when she did the "U Can't See Me" at Hailey Van Lith (saw it live, rewound it so show my wife), but love the semantics of the prior post and other commentary of the specifics of it (well, it wasn't exactly right in front of her face).

I respect the attitude Clark plays with and the chip Reese, Morris, and others on LSU played with as well. Sure, Reese walked her down and it was over the top, but that's what happens in sports; it's often those who've never played at a high or semi-high level that get all hot n bothered about it.

Andddddddd of course, one woman gets a pass over pure semantics while the other's feelings are, as usual, invalidated.

Nothing new here.

Edit: Guess we forgot about Clark's hand flick at the SC player dribbling the ball (which is what the LSU players were probably talking about) in the previous game - guess that wasn't disrespectful, huh. I have no problem when she did it either.

Yeah, I'm sure they both did. I just find it generally obnoxious when it gets a bit on the excessive side, like say a Philip Rivers type who can't shut up for 2 seconds. I didn't mind the Cena thing when they're next to each other on the foul line. That's standard trash talk. I roll my eyes at it, but whatever. The purposely going out of her way in the wrong direction to make the ring gesture to Clark who's on the other side of the court walking away though is where it moves in to the territory of overboard and annoying for me. I'd like to think if I'm about to win a national championship, I'd just be happy and ready to celebrate with my own team, rather than my first thought being to find an opponent who's not near me and walking away so I can rub it in first. If that makes me the old guy yelling at the kids to get off my lawn, then that's fine. I just found it petty and excessive, well beyond standard trash talk, which I find somewhat annoying to begin with, even if I know it's excessive. If Iowa won, and Clark did the same thing, it would have been equally annoying and detracting from the game for me.

In regards to the whole Clark/Reese issue…I generally love trash talk. I had zero issues with it at the free throw line with 50 seconds left. It was the whole walking and hunting her down the last 30 seconds that I thought crossed a line.

And then the whole post game was weird. LSU wins the natty, but they are talking more about Clark. Alright…whatever.

As for the men’s natty game…they need to get these games out of domes. It just seems like teams don’t shoot well in these games.

UConn closed that half out weakly. But still got the lead. Missed a few gimmies at the rim.

For the record, UCONN needs to win by 26 to match the record of the 1996 Kentucky Wildcats for the largest average margin of victory in the 64/68 team era for a National Champion.

The Wildcats had an average margin of victory of 21.5.
