Did they make players bigger again, or same size as 25? Can you edit body dimensions?
Some videos, make it look like the players are back to their pre-25 sizes as opposed to the smaller models, they used for 25. But not sure if that’s just an illusion. Also, can you still edit body dimensions like in 25?Tags: None -
Hopefully they never touch players size again like that, it was a dumb thing to do. It's like lowering the baskets so we see more dunks or making the ball smaller to increase FG%.My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASIC👍 1Comment

Not only can you still change the body dimensions, you can also assign certain hairstyles and faces to certain players, in this case, my two favorite, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. That alone justified the purchase for me. It’s sad we lost cross play rosters but I’m sure console players will create the missing players.Comment

Also no more cross play?? So Xbox doesn’t get ps5 sharing? That sucks.
It’s wild to me they quietly made players bigger again. Everyone made such a big deal about the smaller players helping with spacing last year. But in gameplay it feels like a non issue?
ALSO, does anyone know if they finally added back the newest Kobe face scan that they gave us in 2K24, but removed in 2K25?Last edited by AIRJ23; 09-04-2025, 04:04 PM.👍 2Comment

Can you elaborate on that with MJ and Kobe?! What can you assign to them?

As for gameplay, the speed has been considerably boosted up. I’m sure many people will reduce the game speed because it does seem a bit too quick.Last edited by Champy123; 09-04-2025, 04:49 PM.Comment

Exactly what I mean. Like adding a headband, you can change the appearance of MJ and Kobe. So you want that new Kobe scan? You got it. Just go to edit Kobe Bryant and you can change his look. Not only MJ and Kobe, you can do it to young Shaq on the Orlando Magic, Jason Kidd and so on. I know I’ve been asking for this feature since like 2K20. Only took six years. So no more using DNA and ****. It’s as simple as just editing the player to the look you want.

The game speed seems way too fast to me when I watch it. Perhaps it’s fun to play, but I can say just from purely watching it. It looks very unrealistically fast.Comment

That’s wild! I’m still not understanding it though. I guess I have to see it. Like there are more pre scans you can select from? Or you can now modify their faces manually?

Yeah with the game speed, definitely needs tweaking. Waiting on some good slidersComment

It’s the same base face but hairstyles and beards change for MJ and Kobe. You got the 87-89 MJ look with some hair on his head and also his 92 Dream Team look with the convict beard. Kobe has his new scan from 2K24 along with one with a convict beard too like MJ. You’ll see when you play the game. It’s finally simple to change looks. Small thing for most but huge for me.

Proportions of the players always seem off (too big for the courts) and they have been off for years IMO. Go play NBA 2k11,12/13/14 and see what I mean. It's a subtle thing to notice, but the player models look to big for the courts. Just my opinion.Comment

the proportion size of players and courts IMO were spot on during the ps3/xbox360 era. As soon as it made a jump to PS4/XBOX One, the sizes went off the deepend. I don't understand why this isn't addressed by reviewers more. There's something wrong with this generation regarding the sizes of the players compared to the courts.

for Admiral, Melo and young Shaq and maybe another or two later players.
I didn’t get 2K24 so still unsure which Kobe face scan went missing from 25, but it appears the buzz cut Kobe (04)in 26 is the exact same scan as 25, which I also could tell when I downloaded 26 (returned it for now, just not enough of a jump from 25 to justify me spending endless hours building rosters and another MyNBA all over again when I’m still rolling with 25). Of course he has new facial hair options and tattoo options when selecting appearances but the scan itself appears the exact same.Comment
