Wow 2k outsold Madden In August
Madden usually goes #1 in that month
    2k pre-orders alone outsold Madden 👀

Has this been a thing? I've been seeing swishes on Real Player %.

That part I can’t explain as they could’ve gotten some of the features closer (like the hair as you mentioned). I haven’t looked at Ant a ton, but I’m curious if they use the generic hair do guys like him who don’t have a CAP scan but not a real face scan.

Because if that’s the case, then it would make sense why the features aren’t closer.

I hate it...give us shot timing profiles or at least no shot timing at all back!!
It's scandalous that you can't even choose the "Real Player %" option as soon as you play against a human opponent. This is a huge step back, especially after a game like NBA 2K25, which offered so many possibilities.

Honestly, their latest update is just like the game itself: a complete joke. The issues are everywhere. When you go into the defensive settings, the menu is still a mess, blinking like a Christmas tree. The shot feedback completely spoils whether the shot is going in or not, which is an issue they supposedly fixed years ago.

The gameplay itself feels just as bad. Dribble combos are still so choppy; trying to do a simple size-up with Curry without accidentally triggering his in-and-out dribble is a challenge. We still don't have access to proper defensive strategies through the OTFC menu, like choosing defensive presets or setting the defensive rebound intensity.

Frankly, I can understand why former members who became developers don't even dare to come here anymore. They must be ashamed of what the game has become, as their priorities are clearly a world away from what they were in the 2010s. It might not be the developers' fault : it could be the publisher, but regardless of who is to blame, they have nothing to be proud of with the current state of this game.

Sure, there are some good things, but the passion just isn't there anymore. Everything feels rushed and messy, and the game's qualities are no longer enough to hide the increasingly mediocre and sloppy work behind it.

Lmao the reverted the first on ball sensitivity. Everything but the effectiveness of fades was reverted. I’ve never seen a 2k where select streamers control the very direction of the game. Escape dribble spamming into defender is low iq ball.

You can turn shot feedback off. Most players play with both the meter and shot feedback off, even online, because it’s easier to be more consistent that way.

They already reverted ball sensitivity?! The patch has only been out for a few days.

I said it before and I'll say it again, 2K NEEDS to introduce Game Styles, which should be the first thing you have to select when playing an online mode.

They're trying to cater to two different audiences and it makes for a worse product overall. It's not possible to satisfy people who want a more sim, realistic experience and people who want a more arcadey, street ball experience without introduce two discrinct game styles/profiles.

It's almost like trying to satisfy meat lovers and vegans with the same meal. Unless you provide options for people to alter the "meal" to their liking, at least one side will end up disappointed.

I played a bunch of games last night and there were still a bunch of steals by people dribbling into players. My steal rating isn’t that high and I had 4 in one game because the guy I was playing against kept dribbling into me. So it doesn’t seem like they reverted it back. Maybe they tweaked it a bit?

How long until they revert contests too, because that's another thing I see people complaining about.

I hate that this game is dictated by people who don't play or understand real basketball.

They're listening to people who want to be able to dribble through defenders, hit fade away 3s, and contest shots just because they're standing near shooters.

The majority of these online gamers haven't played the sport irl or if they're playing irl they're the ones defending the demise of the sport with all the carrying, travelling, flopping etc. I'm sure you won't find a single person over 40yrs old here liking the direction of basketball regarding the modern rules. That said, this demise of the sport has an impact even in videogaming. 2K should release a separate 2K Jam game for all these online gamers or at least separate the modes to Sim and Arcade and leave the kids/creators/influencers fighting each other in their beloved Space Jam online modes.

Played an offline franchise game yesterday and somewhat even enjoyed the game. With new patch it plays a bit better. But, I can't get past the feeling, it stil cheats, but less than before. And I play on All star level, which is fine, but can't help toi mention the score bothers me. My Boston has lost at Knicks staggering 138 - 136, 12 minute qtrs. Stil get bunch of exploits by Towns, Brunson, even Robinson, lol. And after the game, i was amazed by team stats, which didn't seem real. Knicks supposedly had around 57% shot while in the game i had a feeling they hardly missed. Offensive part sometimes still a pain for a player. While i can understand why i miss some open shots (i play with real player % option) it still bothers me, when a small defender can mess with my big going for a layup or a dunk while on the other side i cannot stop first grade kinder.

There are some other things which are annoying. For instant, i think, they reinvented some previous 2k itteration where you could exploit fast breaks with bigs. How many times did I see in a game yesterday some through the court passes directly under my basket for an easy dunk while my bi fas at the middle of the court!? This is obvious cheat, and i don't fall for some ''be better at returning'' nonsense. I exploited this kind of cheat in some Nba 2k14 or around that year. And they succesfully addresed that issue later. And now is back.

I know there are stil some things on me to learn and get better, the game looks great and after the patch it is better gameplay wise. But some patches are still needed to remove this minor things to be great.
