Game speed glitch

I have my game speed set up at 45. This plays well with my sliders . The problem is when I first turn on my Xbox and start nba2k, the game plays faster than it should . I have to go into settings and move up the game speed to 60 . Then I have to start a game with that speed and then quit the game and go into settings and reset back to 45. After doing all this the game plays at the right speed . I feel like this has plagued 2K for years .
anyone know why the settings (speed ) does not hold

I've always been convinced the game speed is affected by internet, maybe it's placebo but when the speed feels wonky I disconnect from the internet lol

I do that too, disconnect from the internet before starting a game, be it NBA2k, MLBTS, EA CFB or now, NASCAR 25. But I do it for complete opposite reason. I don't want the possibility of my internet slowing my framerate down. It might be a placebo fix but I don't take any chances and do it any way.
