Re: NBA 2K14: No Multi-Team Control in MyGM, Some Features Not Moving Over

Could someone from 2K be kind enough to say if we can play/watch games from other teams schedules say as cpu v cpu...I really don't want to be restricted to just my chosen teams games...being able to have the freedom to pick and choose which games to play is how myself and a lot other users enjoy the product.

Getting to the playoffs, or not and just being told who has won via sim isn't good enough...we want the ability to pick any game to watch...irl I watch the playoffs even if my teams isn't there.

    Thanks
Dedicated member of the CPU v CPU worldwide brethren.

I'm figuring coach mode isn't going to make the cut since it's been removed from the current gen version. But would someone confirm that coach mode is gone from next gen as well? Thanks.

This is what I do. Like if the Finals come down to a game 7, I tend to watch it. I would at least like to have that ability.

          Not at all

          My point was simply this.

Using Two NFL moves an example, if you were playing Madden and you saw that the Browns traded away Richardson and the Bucs released Freeman would you have said to yourself "Horrible trade logic" ?

I'm not denying screwed logic in games but the example above from the NFL happens in all sports. So how dows a game express that? That's my question.

There are bad GMs and Owners in real life who make unlogical trades.

There are coaches in real life who use good players the wrong way or shorten minutes/misuse them.

These thingd happen so again, we all want realism, so how does a videogame express unpredictable events in free agency/trading etc without upsetting damn near 50% of sports gamers?

Again, noone is denying bad logic at times but if you would been playing a Madden franchise and saw the virtual Browns and Bucs make those moves (let say they didn't happen irl) you and others would scream of broken logic.

I know folks like to control everything and assume what teams would and wouldn't do but nonone would have predicted the Colts/Bucs moves.

So how do these games express all these things I've mentioned?

What about the online leagues/online association?

            Is this my gm online?

That's the only thing I care

agree they should do this for 14, and then add in 30 team control in mygm for 2k15(leaving in 30 team season also), then 14 might be adequate enough, while we wait a year

there are bad trades.... and then there's trades that make no sense (2k).

I agree but the problem is who are we to say what wouldn't happen based on what does happen irl?

I believe there's a line out there somewhere, or else "trade logic AI" wouldn't be a thing. For instance, if the Pistons in NBA 2K14 acquired Chris Paul, Brandon Jennings, Darren Collison, Steve Blake, Rajon Rondo, and Jameer Nelson through a series of trades, would we really just chalk it up as, "Well crazy things happen in real life too so who are we to say?"

That is to say, there's unpredictability, then there's inanity.

continuing with the pistons example, the pistons as we all know acquired both jennings and j smith this offseason. these were 'bad acquisitions' to some (shot selection, ego, efficiency) but to dumars, they managed to pick up a versatile borderline allstar who can play any frontcourt position and they also get a talented scoring pg.

they make sense. they may not be great decisions or what not but there is still logic behind it.

My biggest fear is the possibility I get fired when I really don't think I should.

Yeah I don't want to get fired for situations like blowing up a mediocre team that was going nowhere. For example in real life if Masai Ujiri decided to have a fire sale of the Raptors this year I doubt many Raptors fans would be upset and it would be the right thing to do for the team long term, especially with the 2014 draft coming up. Hopefully the game is able to take things like that into account.

Re: NBA 2K14: No Multi-Team Control in MyGM, Some Features Not Moving Over

Continuing from my other post regarding control...2K has always seemed to give us control over the years, but if their focus shifts we'll hear "We didn't have time for blank".

Talking about the sim community, offline association guys, there are great roster makers that make association so much more enjoyable. However, they often take months to drop a roster, and in the meantime I like to jump into a season and tinker with the roster and sliders as I go. Even their rosters have occasional flaws or arguable differences.

I still play Madden 12 simply for the player editing feature. I know it's a hypothetical, but if they do handcuff us I will be disappointed. I already despise the automatic auto save feature. I guess I could make a separate save file but it's unnecessary. I don't usually control 30 teams, but I would still sometimes "resign position" and edit playbooks of other teams etc. We all wanted advancements in association but not at the expense of control. That's just my opinion anyway.

The thing I've noticed in 2K us there aee some teams that just won't tradw with you if you don't have enough. Ive offered two first round picks and have been denied many times.

As far the Pistons example, that would be insane. I'd like to think you couldn't pull that off without a force
