I don't know after reading this what I can and can't do.

Right now I play nba2k14 with 2 associations (current raptors, and custom league with every classic team and play as the sonics) and myPlayer.

So it at least sounds like, I can't do the former in this game. I can't do multiple-season 'franchise' mode? That is the foundation of any offline player's game isn't it?
IF I can't play a mode in mutiple seasons as at least one team ESPECIALLY with classic teams I'm out. I don't need to control more than one team, but I'd like to customize the league/rosters and get multiple years out of it - anyone able to confirm or deny that?

Both are in MyGM. Multiple years, ability to customize league and bring classic teams in.

yea thats how i understood as well, but i think it would be more cool if you had choice to use the actual GM's for the nba teams kinda like madden..which i pretty sure 2k did this cause they felt like EA is going to go this route for their nba game as well at some if not this then next year i can EA having connecting careers in all of their sports games.

Knowing that Leftos is in da house, let me make these assertions to see if he can prove me wrong :

          - I'm affraid that we won't have the edit a player menu this year (this is the easy one)

          - I'm affraid that if a trade happens IRL I won't be able to reproduce it in my association unless I restart it.

Now seriously, Leftos, make these videogame magicians (you included) know that the more customization options you give to the community, the happier they will be (you know this perfectly), and not the other way around!

Is edit a player in MyGm, and can your created player be played in MyGm?

I love the new improvements and I'm interested in the features, but after several hours in MyCareer current gen, I'm disappointed in the lack of gameplay improvements in that mode. Long story short, the intelligence and reactions of your teammates are nerfed. This has no impact on the difficulty as I've won a championship in every single season of MyPlayer I've played in the last three years, but it makes the experience more frustrating than it has to be. Some of these issues, like unrealistic rebounding situations, slow passes and awkward movement carry over to other game modes.

I don't want to dismiss the tremendous amount of work it takes to have what may be the best looking next gen game in this calendar year and perhaps the best sports game overall, but with server drops, poor allocation of attributes for MyCareer templates and outdated, laughable AI, I find my "hype" to be bittersweet.

Wow! That's a solid amount of news. Most features removed aren't a big deal to but i can definitely feel the pain for association. I mean i really wanted to play the association this year because i'm expecting the game to be truly realistic and now that it's not here it kind of sucks. I just hope there will still be more hours of playing games vs being a gm. If that's not the case i guess this year i'll be focusing on my player.

Season modes and confirmation that you can still "customize league" have pretty much put me at ease..

Another feature of the new system is called animation synthesis. In next gen, all animations are contextual. For example, if Durant is taking a jumper and he is wide open, he will use his typical gather, release and landing. If a defender pressures him, he will automatically adjust his release and may land differently depending on the position of the defender. These additions are very visible during gameplay and you will see a bunch of new animations.

Almost all the games are carbon copies of current gen but with stripped down options. The graphics aren't even that big of a jump up.

For years we've been hearing developers cry how the current hardware isn't enough to match their genius.
Well if the earliest games are any indication, the developers are the ones that have kept games from reaching the next level."

Disagree. But I do like that you were direct and honest statements without B.S>

How long did the developers have to work on Next Gen Games? 1 year , and learn new tools to work with.

Graphics and actual gameplay will be better than current gen. I hope and I believe that the Developers will improve gameplay throughout the year ( They made HUGE improvement on2k13 the last 4 months).

Playing against the Clippers. PF/C in MyCareer. Shot clock winding down, guarding DeAndre Jordan 17 ft away in the post. My AI teammate sags about 7 ft off of Chris Paul, giving him the open jumper and a high % look out of a bad possession. If this kind of nonsense is still in next gen, they just put cut scenes on top of an annoying experience.

I just watched and compare the current gen and next gen of 2k14 and i notice there are way too much sliding in the current gen. It seems like the next gen doesn't have any of that...so i suspect THAT in itself might have improved the game play somewhat.
