That's all I've been wanting to see and loved every word of it. Once the game drops and I hear gameplay is solid I'm definitely ready to give it a crack. -

Pretty much the only thing left to hope for is that you can turn off auto-save. That drove me crazy in 2k13.Comment

Can someone please explain the logic of controlling all 30 teams ( not being funny) do you play games with one? And if your main team is Knicks, when does one decide that the "1st place" nets need to make a trade for example. How is it fun if u can manipulate the entire league whenever you please
And I'm not being funny I really want to make sense of this. I've been following this forum for years and I've never heard this being a topic until the removed it.
And for the guy who wants the no frills association just think about the association settings in current Gen. Its just more detailed now your doing all of the same things. Except better lolComment

Re: NBA 2K14: MyGM Developer Diary
I wonder if MyGM's season length can vary. They mention for season mode, but I like to play every game out. Normally I just play 29.
The mode still sounds awesome though. I hope it has a better interface than CCM, but I'm sure it will.Comment

From my perspective, I love being able to play with rosters that are the same as the real NBA. When controlling 30 teams I can sign/trade to reflect what is actually happening.
I dont want to let the AI decide that the Clippers need another PG and trade for Jrue Holiday.
This type of stuff plagues 2K AI logicComment

Re: NBA 2K14: MyGM Developer Diary
News keeps getting better and better. This developer diary answered all the questions/requests I had about the mode and more and should keep many people happy despite the removal of multi-team association.
I personally love that retired players and assistants can now be hired as head coaches. Haven't seen that since the PS2/Xbox versions of Madden's Owner Mode. Great addition that adds a ton of immersion to the game, not to mention something I wanted to see for a while in Association.
Some of the negativity around the forums is mindboggling. God forbid a development team wants to change something up. With that being said, you probably could be able to automate or skip past most of the options and still play "normally". I, on the other hand, love this new direction and am genuinely interested in trying it out.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Re: NBA 2K14: MyGM Developer Diary
Just quickly skimmed over the writeup before leaving work. Everything sounds amazing.
I do have to questions though that I may have missed.
1) Is there real life draft order in? (example will Boston have Brooklyn's 1st round draft picks for the next 3 years)
2) Is the ability to intervene in games in?My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
Alabama Crimson Tide
Green Bay Packers
Boston Celtics
New Orleans Pelicans

But I think ppl should be happy 2k is trying something new. Remember when 2k had summer league and training camp and d league, people complained it was too time consuming and 2k axed it. Now alot of people want it back in next Gen.Comment

Thanks, Erick! Sounds awesome, glad 2k still supports having a great franchise mode for single player gamers. Sounds like your team did a great job, can't wait to play it. Seriously might not purchase as many games as I originally anticipated, in order to devote proper time to this mode. :-)Comment

Re: NBA 2K14: MyGM Developer Diary
Mode sounds amazing can't wait to play it. I always only control one team in my association's so that is not a problem for me. I hope that the AI logic for the other teams is good, because it seems like most people use the 30 team control because of the terrible logic of the AI. I think it is great that they still kept the season mode for those who just want to play through a season and not worry about all the other stuff. Can't wait until next Friday!!!Comment

Can some of this stuff be turned off? Some of the elements sound good, but some of the stuff I honestly don't want to bother with. I guess I need to stick with current-gen 2K14 huh?Comment

Re: NBA 2K14: MyGM Developer Diary
Franchise modes are a passion for me; they are my go-to mode in any sports game. I truly enjoy the challenge in taking a struggling team and rebuilding them into one of the best teams in the league. It’s a very cerebral experience, one that requires a certain level of shrewdness. For years, our award winning Association mode has put you through the trials and tribulations of building a team that can co-exist while trying to win titles. We had some pretty defining features during the last generation in The Association, but for this generation, it’s a whole new game.
